Written by Charlie

Want the best deals on a new Apple Watch Series 6 or Apple Watch SE? Here is the list that gives you the best options for what you are looking for.

The Apple Watch Series 6 and new Apple Watch SE have been out for just over a week now and many people have already ordered and received them. If you have not ordered yet, here is a look at the best places to buy the new Apple Watch Series 6 or the Apple Watch SE.

Best Places to Buy the Apple Watch Series 6 or Apple Watch SE

To read more about the initial announcement of these watches, check out this post.

I have a comparison coming out soon between the Apple Watch Series 6 and the latest Garmin watch but if you do not care about Garmin and just want an Apple Watch, here are the best places to buy one and why.

Best Buy – If You Want Apple Fitness+ or Open Box

Already, many buyers have returned their Apple Watch models to Best Buy. If you want to save a little bit more on a watch than others are offering in sales, Best Buy open box watches could be the way to go. Just make sure you check carefully! With new products like this, it is not uncommon at all for buyers to stick their older Series 4 or Series 5 in the box and return it as the Series 6 – so have them show you the watch while you are in the store!

6 Months of Fitness+ Instead of 3 Months

Part of the release this month was Apple’s announcement of their Apple Fitness+, a subscription service designed to give you workouts, instructors to follow, music to go along with it, and be able to stream your current stats to any display you are watching it on (via an Apple device).

This new service will debut later this year at a standalone cost of $9.99 per month. Apple (and other authorized dealers) are giving new watch owners 3 months for free. Best Buy is giving 6 months for free, a savings of $29.97. If Fitness+ is something you really want to have, Best Buy will be the place to buy your watch from.

Plus, More Time to Return for Elites

Also, if you have elite status with Best Buy, you have 30 or 45 days to return it, vs the 14 days from Apple!

Amazon – Small Discounts But Longer Waits

If you want an outright discount on the latest Apple Watch and do not mind waiting an extra week or so, Amazon is your friend! not only that, but if you have gift cards, credit card promos, etc, Amazon can net you an even better discount.

Not all models are available as a discount and the price does not show as a discount – if you are looking for the 44mm, any price of $415 is $15 off retail while the 40mm will show the sale price as $384, also a $15 discount.

For the Apple Watch SE models, the discount is only $10.

B&H Photo Video – No Sales Tax for Many States

B&H Photo Video is one of the largest retailers of cameras, computers, and electronics in the country. They are located in Manhattan and have been around for a long time.

Until a year or so ago, they did not charge sales tax to any state except NY and NJ. Now they charge sales tax for deliveries to about 28 states. If you are not in one of those states (or you have the B&H Payboo card), you will not pay sales tax on your Apple Watch. Plus, some models are on sale for $15 off as well.

But, hurry if you want it soon – B&H is a Jewish-owned company so all Jewish religious holidays are observed both with the store closure and online ordering halted. The next holiday starts this afternoon (1PM NYC time).

Apple Store – For Everyone Else

If you want it straightforward or you have the Apple credit card, you may just want to go ahead and order right from Apple. You won’t get any discounts but at least the experience should go as smoothly as you would expect from Apple. Also, if you have the Apple card, you can earn extra cash back.

Bottom Line

I would imagine we may see more discounts around Black Friday or maybe when Fitness+ launches but if you want the Apple Watch Series 6 or SE model now, this roundup should help you save the most or get the most out of your purchase!
