I was never able to use the EarPods that Apple included with their iPhones – they constantly fell out. So, forget running with them for me! However, when I picked up the AirPods a couple of years ago, I was surprised at how well they stayed in my ears! Now, I use them everyday for running and they work very well.

If you were looking for a deal on AirPods, this deal is for you! The Apple AirPods retail for $159 so getting them for $123 is a pretty nice deal. I have bought a ton of stuff from Best Buy that was certified refurbished and only one time had an issue with the actual item (which they resolved quickly). There is just one thing to consider – you will pay sales tax with these so if you are able to get a new pair on eBay from a seller that does not charge sales tax, that may be the better route to go.
Here are a couple of the things I love about the Apple AirPods:
- Battery life – they last for a few hours per charge and after just 15 minutes in the charging case, they have enough juice to keep going.
- Compatibility – thanks to a custom chip inside, once you sync this to one device, it will be automatically shared across all of your Apple devices that you have signed in with the same Apple ID. This means that you do not need to pair it with each machine. I use this to go from my Apple Watch Series 4 during a run to my cell phone when I’m back in the car and the transition is seamless.
