Singapore Airlines Fuel Surcharges To Drop Lower
For people who like to experience (or want to experience) the joy of flying Singapore’s premium cabins on awards, the biggest thing standing in the way of pushing the book button is the fact that the taxes and fees are high (on some routes). That is especially true for the Fifth Freedom flight of Frankfurt <-> JFK. If you were to fly from Frankfurt to JFK in Suites Class, you would have to pay 308 euros – 191 of which is the fuel surcharge. That is just on the one way portion of the ticket!

Well, starting with tickets booked on February 26th and after, Singapore Airlines will be reducing the fuel surcharges on their tickets. According to them, that decrease will range from $5 to $83 per segment depending on the route and class of travel.
So, mark your calendars and start your searches February 26!

Great info! Any word if they will refund the difference for post-feb-26th travel that has already been booked? I booked two first class tickets DME-IAH for next month…
You could try calling after that day and ask them to rebook it (change fees are pretty small) but they won’t refund it, per se, because those fees are assessed at the time of purchase.
