new JetBlue sale

The JetBlue sale has been extended for one more day. Check out sale prices for summer travel around the US and make sure you book today!

The other day, I posted about the JetBlue sale for travel through the summer (and with awards starting at 2,600 points for travel). That sale was to have ended yesterday but they announced they will extend it one more day. Good news if you were still trying to nail down some dates! Here is the information on the sale.

JetBlue Sale from $49

Sale Details:

  • Book by June 3, 2016 (the earlier of 11:59 PM ET or local time).
  • Travel Tuesday & Wednesday
  • Travel between June 14 – September 28, 2016.
  • Blackout dates: 6/28 – 7/6 & 9/6/16.

Different from the last sale is that there is a much bigger blackout around July 4th than there was last time (I even mentioned during the last sale that there were only a couple of days blocked – but now there is more!). Still, this sale is nice for summer travel and even for September so check out the deals that are available!

Awards from 2,600 Points

Now, you may be able to find some awards even cheaper. I mentioned last month that the new JetBlue minimum for awards had changed from 3,500 points to 1,800 points. That same route that yielded the 1,800 point option last time is no longer at that point but I am seeing a lot of 2,600 point options so it finally makes sense to use points for the cheapest of tickets!

In fact, using points at the low level, you can get more than the standard 1.48 cents per point. I am seeing 1.68 cents per point in some instances so it may be a good time to use points for this next award during this new JetBlue sale.

do not forget about the new jetblue cards! The Plus card that gives 30,000 points could get you a lot of travel during sales like this. If you do not have points right now, don’t worry as another sale will be here before too long!
