I received about 26,000 miles from my little Sears shopping spree that I did on Thursday. On Saturday, I picked-up my two tablets that were available for local pickup and was waiting for my other 9 to ship. However, this morning I received a phone call from Sears Verification Department while I was on another line. 5 minutes later, I received an e-mail telling me that since Sears was unable to contact me, they were canceling an order but I was more than welcome to call back to place a new order. I called in and was told there nothing they could do to reinstate the order.
An hour later (after no more phone calls), I received two more e-mails notifying me of my other canceled orders. I had asked during my previous phone call if I could speak with someone to make sure that my other orders were not canceled. I was told I would have to wait for a call from the Verification Department.
I sent a complaint to Sears about how they handled this. I will update with whatever they say or how I might be able to extricate some of the miles out of this. I will say this – it will take something amazing to get me to ever shop from sears.com again. Their customer service on my large orders left a lot to be desired and really unhappy with them. If I were you, do not use sears.com as a way to earn miles. A new order placed to replace the canceled orders does not help as the shopping portal deal is no longer in place.
