They are back! The three Southwest credit cards from Chase are each offering 60,000 points! That means that any two of those will get you more than enough points to get the Southwest Companion Pass for the rest of 2017 and 2018! Of course, you will also walk away with over 120,000 Southwest points to use for your travels as well!

That’s right – every Southwest card is offering 60,000 points after meeting the minimum spending. Unfortunately, they do fall under the Chase 5/24 so if you have 5 or more new accounts (with any issuer) in the last 24 months, you will be denied for these cards. Also, you cannot have received the bonus on the card you apply for within the previous 24 months and cannot currently hold it.
If you are ok with those details above and are able to get these cards, this is a fantastic deal. Normally, we see the 50,000 point offers around October which would allow you to time your earning of the points to coincide with the new year and give you 2 full years of the Southwest Companion Pass. But, that requires a little extra spending to hit the required 110,000 points for the Southwest Companion Pass. With these offers, you only need to do the spending required by the card for the bonus points and you are done!
So I remember when the third-party Branded cards didn’t fall under the 524 rule even though the official Chase cards like sapphire and such did. So are there no more Chase cards at all that avoid the 524 Rule?
Can I apply for both personal cards on the same day? Or should I wait a few days?
You can apply for a business and personal on the same day but the second will likely go to pending so you may need to call in. Maybe do personal first and business second.
