The Boston Red Sox and LA Dodgers are headed to the World Series – and you can be there too! All you need is the right points (and a lot of them!) and you can get tickets and even some exclusive World Series experiences!

Congrats to fans of the Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers – it should be a great World Series! As a Yankees fan, I am disappointed my Yanks couldn’t pull it out against Boston but the right two teams will be on the big stage (this year – see you there next year!).

If you are a Red Sox fan, a Dodger fan, or just a really big baseball fan, you may want to be able to attend one of these World Series games. For many, that is a bucket list item. But, it can be much more expensive than other things on that list! Well, it depends on what you use to pay for these tickets! As in years past, SPG Moments (and Marriott Moments this year) has launched some great World Series packages that will put you at the game (and some even include unique experiences) just using hotel points.

Grab Those Points!

The points you need are Marriott Reward points but you can also get more of those by transferring over Chase Ultimate Reward points at a 1:1 ratio. From there, you better get ready to spend because these packages will go for a lot! As you bid on the SPG side, remember that SPG points were converted to Marriott points in August at a 1:3 ratio so the points you are seeing are triple what they would have been last year but the actual value stays the same.

Here is a list of the packages available. For the game packages, there are actually many sets available and each one comes with 2 tickets.

Tips: Your points work the same with either SPG or Marriott so if you miss out on one, try out the other one. Remember that all auction closing dates are not the same so make sure you take note of those.

Of course, any game after Game 4 is a “as-needed” game and if you were to win, you would receive your points back. Also, I wouldn’t be surprised for SPG to include some additional packages for some really great things if the series gets extended – like a couple of years ago with the ceremonial first pitch being thrown out at Game 7 in Cleveland.

So, good luck – both in the bidding and to your favorite team!
