This is a nice little offer from Citi that could help you if you wanted to rack up some extra miles. For a limited time and for a targeted audience, you can use your Citi AAdvantage card for 2X miles on all eligible purchases. Here are the details and how to find the targeted e-mail, should you have received it.

earn 2x aa miles

Here are the details:

  • You already earn 2 miles per $1 spent when you use your Citi® / AAdvantage®Platinum Select® World Elite™ Mastercard®for eligible American Airlines purchases. Enroll today and earn 2 AAdvantage® miles per $1 spent on everything else you buy.
  • Earn up to 2,500 AAdvantage® bonus miles on purchases you make
  • Enroll by May 31, 2017
  • Offer good through June 30, 2017
  • This offer excludes eligible American Airlines purchases, balance transfers, cash advances, convenience checks, items returned for credit, fees and interest charges

So, you can spend up to $2,500 and earn an extra 2,500 AA miles on all the spending you do. Essentially, your Citi AAdvantage card (I received this on my Platinum card) would be a 2X earning card for all general purchases through June 30 or up to $2,500 in spending.

Find It In Your E-Mail

I received this targeted offer in my e-mail. Chances are you may have it too but if you haven’t received it, you may need to search for it. Here is what you should search for to see if you were targeted.

  • Charlie, you lost me at American Miles:) Find me a decent use, I’ll start accumulating them again. Their saver level availability is embarrassing.

    • I hear you! I hate using them for AA flights and instead use them on partners. My daughter and I recently used them for flying AUH – LHR on Etihad’s A380 in first and I also used them for Air Berlin from JFK to Europe. But, trying to find awards on AA flights, particularly for Europe, is a real drag!

  • I got a similar, but better offer today on the Barclay AA Aviator Silver. 2x bonus miles 4/1-6/30 up to 2,500.
