  • Park Hyatt Beaver Creek For Sale – The Park Hyatt Beaver Creek is a highly-rated resort in Colorado. It is a Category 7 that requires 30,000 Gold Passport points per night. It appears to have just been listed and it did not have the price available.
  • Government Won’t Regulate Seat Width – A congressman decided to try and get the US government to step in and regulate the seat width on airplanes. The committee voted down the legislation by a vote of 26-33. Good or bad?
  • How To Watch The US Olympic Marathon Trials – Tomorrow is a big day for a lot of elite athletes! They will be lining up in Los Angeles to see which 3 men and which 3 women will qualify to represent the US in Rio this summer. If you are in LA, check out how to watch it in person. Otherwise, you can watch it online or on TV.
  • EU Preparing To Possibly Restrict Passport-Free Travel – The Schengen Area is a group of 26 countries that allows travelers to travel between these countries without needing to use your passport in between. The EU has been talking for a while about suspending that privilege for travelers from Greece and it appears that it may happen (or they want to try to scare Greece more).

  • I think it was good that members of Congress brought forward the idea of minimum seat space as well as evacuation trials at the new densities. Of course this particular House is not going to pass that sort of regulation, but it lets the airlines know that Representatives are following this issue, and it is quite likely that Reps have been hearing an earful from voters (aka travellers) on this issue. A shot across the bow, if you will, for the airlines not to go too crazy on densification.
