A new Amex Offer has been loaded that can save you some money on your cell phone bill without a minimum amount required! Find out about this 10% deal!

Another Amex Offer has hit my cards in what has been a bit of a draught of offers I have been interested in. This one is a quick and easy one that will help you save money as you pay your cell bill!

Great New Amex Offer: Save 10% On Your Cell Bill

Getting the Offer

Log in to your American Express account and scroll down to the bottom. You will see Amex Offers & Benefits. Select and add the offers you want to your card. Make sure you make note of which card you save it to.

To maximize itadd the offer to separate cards, simply login to your American Express account and then choose to duplicate the tab (if using Google Chrome) as many times as you have cards. Once they are all open, select a different Amex card in each tab and select to save the offer to the card.

Make sure you save these offers as soon as you can – using the tip above to maximize – as they are limited enrollment and when they are gone, they are gone! Even if they disappear, as long as you have saved the offer, you are all set.

Save 10% On Your Cell Bill

This offer is on all my cards so I am assuming it is not targeted. Edit: It appears it is targeted and I was just lucky to get it on all my cards – can I pay anyone’s bill for them? 🙂

Amex Offer

  • Get 10% of your online payment back as a statement credit each time
  • Valid for AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon
  • Limit $30 in credit
  • Expires 6/30/2016
  • Payments for prepaid cell phone purchases, plans or services do not qualify

Analyzing The Offer

There were a couple of cell Amex Offers last year that offered things like $10 off a bill of $75 or more 3 separate times. Those were nice but this is pretty great as well.

The best part about this is that there is no minimum payment. So, rather than not taking advantage of the offer because you have a cheaper plan or having to prepay month(s) in advance, you can just get the straight 10% off no matter your bill size.

Of course, you would likely want to max it out which would mean paying $300 in cell bills (per card) over the next 4 months of bills (if you count March). That puts it on par with the previous offer except there is no minimum amount you need to pay.

Alternatives

By all means, save it to your different Amex cards and use it as much as you can to save money. The best card(s) for most people to pay their cell bills would be the Chase Ink cards as they give you 5X points on your cell bills. With many of us getting at least 1.5 cents per point in redemption value, it puts it close to this deal but I would prefer the cash if it was close in the value like that. I can always go back to the Chase Ink cards after June 30.
