Credit Cards

My Last Day With Chase Links

Ok, I have to say first – I never thought I would write a post like this! Not because I didn’t think I could lose my Chase links but because I try to never write a post just because I get paid from the card I write about. But, perhaps because of that, I have not been able to produce enough results for Chase cards so my short tenure with that issuer as an affiliate on this site is coming to a close (tomorrow, Friday, afternoon). That does not mean I will not be able to have a shot at getting them back in the future, just for now they will be going away.

So, why am I writing this post if I did not think I would ever write such a post? 🙂 Fair question! For two reasons with the first being that many of you have been very generous expressing your desire to use links that would see me get some form of a commission. I wanted to be able to give you a heads up that the Chase cards I have on my site that pay me a commission no longer will do so after tomorrow afternoon.

The second is this:I truly started this blog to help out as many as possible and continue to do so because I love doing it. But, I will be honest, being able to make some money doing it does give me the liberty to spend time writing more and researching as much as I can to be the best help I can be. So, I did want to make one final effort to convert some Chase cards before the links disappear tomorrow. Is that a bad thing? 🙂

However, with both of those things being said, I do not want you to upend your application strategy schedule just to give me a conversion! But, if you do have any Chase cards that you had been planning on applying for through my site, this is the last chance to do so! And thank you very much for the support!

Going forward, I will continue to write about all the Chase cards as I have done before – even well before I had Chase affiliate links. In fact, my most-talked about/mentioned Chase card is the Chase Hyatt card which does not pay any commission at all! I believe Chase cards have some of the best mile and point plans around and I am a constant user of them. So, I will continue to write about them all. All Chase links will be set after tomorrow to forward to the direct Chase applications. BUT, if you want to give a blogger the commission from said cards (after Friday!), I will have links on my credit card pages to take you the credit card page at Frequent Miler. I get nothing for doing that, but he writes some incredible stuff and he does this full-time so I am sure he would be grateful for any conversions you can give him.

Some of the links on Running with Miles are affiliate links that pay a commission if a purchase is made. • It always seems weird that the Affiliates like Chase are so picky. It doesn’t really cost them much to have people as affiliates that don’t drive as much traffic as others does it? Seems strange.

    • Actually, the issuers do pay compliance people to read their affiliates’ websites everyday to ensure that the posts speaking of their products meet their compliance regulations. So, if a site is not producing enough to compensate for that time of the compliance individual, they are better of letting the site go.

  • I assume there is a minmum threshold of number of page visitors that your blog have to pull? is it something you can say? is the number realky high? is it site visitors or people who actually use your links to apply?
