Hyatt Offering 1,000 Points To Certain Members

I first saw this yesterday over at One Mile at a Time and when I tried the link that Ben offered, I was happy to see that I was also offered the 1,000 points. After that, I went back through my e-mail and found that my similar e-mail from Hyatt had been classified as “junk” and was not in my inbox.

Hyatt

Here is what the e-mail says:

Charles, please accept our gift to you –

1,000 Bonus Points

Dear Charles,

We’re so happy to have you as a Hyatt Gold Passport Diamond member and Hyatt Credit Cardmember. That’s why we’re giving you 1,000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points.

It’s easy to get your gift, simply accept it by clicking the button below. There’s nothing else you need to do to enjoy your points. They will appear in your account 30 days after you accept them. Just be sure to claim your gift before January 31, 2015 – it’s a thousand thanks from us to you.*

There was a link to click through to receive my points (which I had already done after reading Ben’s post). That many points is worth around $20 so that was certainly a nice gesture on the part of Hyatt!

The one thing I am not sure about is if this offer is only available to Hyatt Diamond members and credit cardholders (like the e-mail mentions for me). It seems that some who fit both criteria were not eligible.

So, in case you are like me and missed the e-mail, I will also include the link here where you will just paste it in your browser and replace the 0123456789 (the part I put in bold) with your Hyatt number to see if you are eligible.

FWIW, my 1,000 points have already posted!

  • I’m a Diamond with the card, but not eligible for the offer. FWIW – I’m Diamond by completing the Diamond challenge earlier this year.
