Here is the brand new JetBlue Plus credit card offer of 100,000 points! That is easily over $1,000 in free travel and this will show you all the details.

Credit card companies are trying to get new customers in a time when not many people are traveling. JetBlue is going big on that with their biggest offer ever on their Plus card – 100,000 points! Let’s break it down and see if it is good for you.

If you are unfamiliar with JetBlue TrueBlue points, they are different from normal miles. This is because the program is a revenue based program meaning the cost of the flight in points will be tied directly to the cost in cash. But, this doesn’t mean that they do not have great value! With JetBlue points worth around 1.4 cents per point, that puts this card offer at around a value of around $1,400 in the sign-up bonus offer!

JetBlue TrueBlue Points and Their Value

That is huge just by itself and definitely worthy of a look. But, remember, since JetBlue points are tied to the ticket cost, JetBlue points are not want you want to use for those flights taking place within 21 days of the booking. This is because flights typically end up costing more during this time. Instead, they are best used for flights booked further out.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the cheapest option you will often see for cash is the Blue Basic. But, the cheapest option you can book with points is the Blue  which costs a little bit more (in cash) than the Basic so if you would normally buy Basic, you won’t be getting as good of a value. But, you will get little things like free seat selection.

When travel opens up a bit again, definitely check out some of the great deals that have been available between Boston and NYC to St. Lucia. It has been possible to book JetBlue’s awesome Mint business class for under $300 on that route. But, the point redemptions for Mint are not as good as economy – more like just under 1 cent per point instead of around 1.4 cents per point.

Finally, JetBlue now lets you book tickets with points and cash so you do not need to have all the points for a booking. Something to keep in mind if you are short after booking with almost 100,000 points from this offer! 🙂

The Big JetBlue Plus Offer – 100,000 Points

Now we can break down this huge JetBlue offer to see what it takes to earn this bonus.

  • Earn 50,000 points after spending $1,000 on purchases and paying the annual fee ($99) within the first 90 days
  • Earn an additional 50,000 points after spending a total of $6,000 on purchases in the first 12 months
  • Earn 6X points on JetBlue purchases
  • Earn 2X points on restaurant and grocery store purchases
  • Free first checked bag
  • Annual fee of $99 not waived

In addition, you can also get a $100 statement credit after you purchase a Vacations package with the card as well as receiving 10% of your points back after you redeem and travel. This means that you will actually get another 10,000 points back after redeeming all of these bonus points!

Bottom Line

This is a fantastic offer for any JetBlue fans out there. Personally, I prefer flying JetBlue over the other major US carriers and I know that I am not alone in that. This offer can unlock a lot of free travel whenever you feel comfortable about hitting the skies again. This is a nice time to stock up on those points so you will be ready to go. I mean, we are talking about a credit card offer with over $1,000 in value!
