Action cameras are awesome! These cameras have switched from being little more than a curiosity to being an actual piece of valuable equipment to video professionals. For those of us who enjoy travel or running (or both), these cameras can be indispensable in allowing us to capture what we see and experience to show others.

While GoPro has really taken a lot of the attention in this field (and they have incredible equipment), they are no longer alone. Garmin has even produced a couple of high quality action cameras to compliment the athlete’s field package. But, another camera that has received some really great reviews is the Sony AS30V. It is also an action POV camera that has some pretty cool features that do not exist on the GoPros.
One of the cool features (although not terribly accurate) is the GPS feature. That’s right – it has it’s own built-in GPS receiver to record that data during your filming. Afterwards, it can be used in the video as an overlay which can be really cool for any running type videos that you want to put together.
Well, the good news is that this interesting camcorder is Amazon’s Gold Box Deal of the Day! For today only, it can be purchased for $139, a good $80 less than other retailers. It even goes for more than that on eBay! There is an upgraded model out, but this model still gets a lot of good attention.
