The Chase Sapphire Preferred has a great new offer and it is now available online! If you are eligible (more on that below), this is the best public offer on this card and is worth at least $1,050! Check it out now!
Chase Sapphire Preferred Offer – 80,000 Points and $50 Statement Credit
Link: Chase Sapphire Preferred Offer (this is NOT an affiliate offer at this time – when it hits my affiliate channel, I will put the affiliate link then my affiliate link is now live)
The normal offer as of late has been 60,000 points and the $50 statement credit but today, the online offer has been improved to a whopping 80,000 points. This is a huge bundle for anyone that wants a great bonus and, thanks to Chase’s Pay Yourself Back feature, you don’t even need to travel to get $1,000 of value out of it!
The Chase Sapphire Preferred Offer
- Earn 80,000 points after spending $4,000 in the first 3 months
- Receive a $50 statement credit on grocery store purchases in the first year
- 2x points on dining and travel
- 25% more in redemption value when redeemed for travel or for Pay Yourself Back in rotating categories
- Right now, those categories are dining, grocery stores, and home improvement stores
- Annual fee is $95 and not waived the first year
- Transfer to travel partners at 1:1 rate
Value of the Chase Sapphire Preferred Offer
This is definitely a great offer, whether you are currently traveling or not. Thanks to the Pay Yourself Back feature, if you do $1,000 in shopping at grocery stores or home improvement stores, you can wipe all of that out once the 80,000 points hit your account!
If you do want the points for travel, they will be ready to transfer when you are ready to travel or to book travel with the points directly – but, I do not advise that path. Instead, redeem the points for your groceries/home improvement/ dining and then purchase the travel directly through airlines or hotels. This way, if you do have to cancel, it will be much easier to deal directly with the airlines and booking through the hotel website will let you enjoy your elite status and earn nights that count towards it.
The $50 statement credit for grocery purchases is a nice way to offset the annual fee by 50% as well. Overall, the Chase Sapphire Preferred has been my number 1 card recommendation to those wanting to get into the points game in the past and this just makes it all the more appealing with this new offer!
Can You Get this Offer?
Just remember that this card offer carries the normal Chase 5/24 rules – that you cannot have had 5 or more new cards (with any banks) in the last 24 months. Also, you cannot have received a bonus on the Chase Sapphire Preferred or the Reserve in the last 48 months and you cannot have the card right now.
Other than that, definitely give it a shot!
Does Chase give you a way to check to see if you are eligible for the bonus? I thought I read somewhere that they started doing that a while ago?
I think the only way is to call in and ask when you had received the bonus last.
Two questions, IIRC you cannot hold a reserve and a preferred at the same time, correct?
And second, any indication when this new bonus offer expires?
That is correct. As far as the expiration date, we should know that after the affiliate links are turned on as those normally come with the validity dates of the offer.
Hi
Just got approved for the Sapphire card two days ago with the 60K bonus. Does chase match new offers if you just got the card?
Thank you
Definitely message them through your account and ask but they have gotten a bit more strict about matching offers lately. Nothing to lose by giving it a try, though! Good luck!
