Have the Amazon Prime Credit Card

Amazon Prime Day

When you match the Amazon Prime credit cards with your Prime membership, you will already be getting 5% back in rewards (that you can use on Amazon) for everything you buy from Amazon. But, for Amazon Prime Day, they are sweetening the deal for Prime credit card members.

There will be various categories that will be targeted to give you 10% or more back with your Amazon Prime credit card! This is really a nice little extra discount to get – on top of already-discounted items.

Last year, they had 20% back on Sony gear which was a huge treat! They haven’t revealed yet which items will have the 10% back but they should be pretty good.

Whole Foods – 10%

From July 14 – 17, if you have the Amazon Prime credit card, you will get 10% back at Whole Foods! That is a pretty nice way to negate some of the higher prices at Whole Foods (if you shop there already, this will really be a nice deal).

In the meantime, here are some Amazon Prime credit card deals you can already take advantage of:

Download the Amazon App

Amazon is really pushing the app hard this year for Prime Day and they will be delivering some sneak peeks a week in advance via the Amazon app. It is a fast and free download so worth doing.

Also, you can add things to your list and you will be notified if those items get Prime Day deals so you can just them in your cart and check out to save.

Possibly? Use an Alexa Device

Last year for Black Friday, Amazon started releasing deals in advance to shoppers that were only using their Alexa devices. This had to be an exact Alexa device, not just Alexa on a smartphone.

This means devices like the Echo, Echo Dot, Fire devices, etc (see the list here). I have heard rumors that Amazon may release some Alexa-specific or early deals for Amazon Prime Day as well. If you have an Amazon Alexa device, you may want to make sure that is turned on and ready to go for Amazon Prime Day. If you don’t have one, you can sometimes pick them up pretty cheap – and even the Echo Dot makes a decent little wireless speaker.

Don’t Forget This Ongoing Deal!

If you use as little as 1 Membership Reward point, you can get a 20% discount on pretty much anything Amazon sells! Amazon simply says that it can end when they want it to so I would doubt it would be around on Prime Day. However, it could be around for another week. Check out the details here to save 20%.

Amazon Prime Day is coming up fast and this year, the deals will not be exclusively with Amazon! Walmart is going to try and compete as well as eBay. This means that it should be a fantastic time for the savvy shopper. But, just remember that you can get some better deals and discounts if you take advantage of everything at your fingertips.
