First Hyatt Promo of 2018: Earn Up to 25,000 Points – Even On Award Nights!

Hyatt has just rolled out their first promo of the year and it offers the potential of 25,000 points for members. Here are the details to get you started earning points.

Hyatt Promo Details:

• Earn 500 Bonus Points per eligible night at Hyatt Place and Hyatt House hotels
• Earn 1,000 Bonus Points per eligible night at all other Hyatt hotels and resorts
• Must have a checkout date by May 15, 2018
• Members must register by March 31, 2018
• Bonus is capped at 25,000 Bonus Points during the promotion period
• For the purpose of this promotion, an “Eligible Night” is defined as any night where a member is paying an Eligible Rate or redeems a free night award for at least one night of their stay.
• Nights at Oasis Collection properties are not Eligible Nights.
• Only the room occupied by the Member will count toward this promotion.

This is the first time a Hyatt promo included award nights as eligible stays so this is a great way to rack up some points on even free nights!

Reminder of the Past?

I appreciate Hyatt trying to draw more members to them with a bonus like this but at the same time, it is a little bit of a bitter memory of the recent past. 🙂 Remember when Hyatt Diamond members received this same bonus for every stay at properties? Staying at a Hyatt Regency, for example, for a one night stay would give me that 1,000 point bonus (if I chose points over amenity – which is also no longer offered).

Of course, that is in the past and it is always nice to pick up more bonus points. I just spent about 15 nights in Hyatts over the last month and only have a few during this promo period so I will not earn as many as I could. Oh well!
