Earn an easy and free $20 or 2,000 Amex points by adding the Rakuten shopping portal extentsion to your browser. Here is how to do that and what it means.

Rakuten is my go-to shopping portal these days since I can earn valuable Amex Membership Reward points with every purchase. If you are not already signed up, you can easily earn 3,000 Amex points for yourself or $30 (check it out here). If you are and still want some easy points, here you go!

Add the Rakuten Browser Extension and Earn 2K Amex Points or $20

First of all, a browser extension does a couple of things. One is that it gives you a quick and easy way to track and identify shopping deals through the portal. The other is that it gives the browser extension the ability to read and track your websites. If you are ok with sharing that level of information with Rakuten, then definitely read on to make the most of it!

Getting the bonus points/cash is very easy – simply login to your Rakuten account and you should see the banner below. Click it and install the browser extension to get the points.

According to the details, the points/cash should post in up to 7 days. This deal is available until November 19 and is only open to new extension users.

  • Any idea how that would interact with using other shopping portals? I like Rakuten too but sometimes other portals have a much better payout so using them just makes more sense under the circumstances.
