Stack these deals to get the new GoPro HERO8 Black for just $240 – that is $160 off retail and this GoPro has not even started shipping yet!

The GoPro HERO8 Black just was announced last week and will start shipping next week. It is likely one of the bigger upgrades the GoPro lineup has seen in quite a while and could be a great camera for travelers. Find out how you can get a new GoPro HERO8 Black for $240 with these deals!

Stack Deals to get a New GoPro HERO8 Black for $240!

Retail price on the new GoPro HERO8 Black is $399 and will probably be at that price for a while. For Black Friday, retailers will probably throw maybe a gift card or memory card in, but this price will hold.

Fortunately, there are a couple of deals you can stack to get the GoPro HERO8 Black for $160 off! To get this deal, you will need two things – an American Express credit/charge card and any old camera.

Step 1 – Grab an Old Camera

If you have any old camera in any condition that originally cost $99 or more, GoPro will pay for that to be shipped back to them and give you a $100 off a new GoPro HERO8 Black! That old camera does not have to be a GoPro – it can be anything at all! As long as the original price was $99. If you are like many people, you probably have something like that in a junk drawer or that friend that holds on to every broken electronic because they will “fix it some day!”. Use this time to give them $10 for it. 🙂

Once you have that old camera, you want to head to this link. If you have any questions, check out this helpful page that GoPro put together.

Step 2 – Save This Amex Offer and Pay with the Amex Card

Next, grab that American Express card and login to your online account.

Scroll down to the Amex Offers & Benefits section and scroll down for the GoPro offer. This is on all my personal and business cards so it shouldn’t be targeted. This means that if you have any American Express personal or small business card, you should be able to save it to your card.

Make sure you Add to Card and then use the card you added it to to make the purchase at GoPro.com. Here are the terms:

  • Get a one-time $60 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $300+ in one or more transactions online
  • Valid at GoPro.com by 12/17/2019

You cannot use the international versions of the webpage so make sure you are on the US site (that should be automatic if you are in the US).

You have to use this card when you make your purchase at GoPro.com!

Summary

If you don’t mind doing a little bit of work, you can get the brand new GoPro HERO8 Black for $160 using these deals stacked up! Given how common cameras are today, you should even be able to buy a broken one off of eBay for around $15 if you cannot find one on your own! That puts your out-of-pocket cost for the new GoPro HERO8 Black at just $255 – still a great deal!

  • Ebates also has 3% at GoPro.com

If anyone is a student (has a .edu), GoPro offers 20% coupons [off an entire order] to students, which brings the $399.99 GoPro Hero 8 down to $319.99.

    • Great additions! Thanks!
I remember the days when GoPro would give a 50% off code if you were going to do any adventure type event and promise to tag them in all of it. 🙂

    • it says “Trade Up cannot be combined with any other offers, discounts or promo codes, or applied to previous purchases.”

I am not sure if student discount code will work? can anyone confirm that it will? I don’t have one to try but i can get one but don’t want to ask for a favor if it’s not going to work anyway…

      • I am pretty sure it will not work. Jim was saying that you could use the EDU discount instead of the trade up promo as retailer do normally limit promotional savings like this from matching with any edu discount.
