As someone who travels and is always out and about, I have long looked for a device that would work to let me blog on the go. Part of my blogging requires me to be able to do some basic photo edits as well. I have been in the Apple ecosystem for several years so I naturally tried two different devices from them for this fit.

Why I Love the iPad Pro
The first thing I tried was the 12″ MacBook when it came out in 2015. I loved it for its portability but it lacked the power I needed for my main computer. I eventually moved to the 15″ MacBook Pro and was trying to find something to take around with me.
Enter the iPad Pro, specifically the 10.5″ model. It was released this past year and is a powerful machine with the smallest bezels on an iPad yet. It works with the Apple Smart Keyboard and the Apple Pencil as well.
When iOS 11 came out last year, it finally allowed the iPad to be used by me in a more traditional computing sense. It has a file system and also has some great multi-tasking abilities. I did a majority of my blog posts with that for months and absolutely loved it!
The model I got came with cellular capability which I matched with my Google Fi data card. This let me be able to post from just about anywhere in the world I was without having to find WiFi or tether to another device.
The Deal of the Day
The problem is they are not that cheap! But, if you want to try out the iPad Pro models from last year, you can get them at a relative steal today only on Amazon. Do note: these are not refurbished by Apple themselves but an Apple-certified center so keep that in mind.
These are the best prices on the WiFi+Cellular models that I have seen. If you want a model like that, you can get them in any color or configuration – all the way up to 512GB of storage space!
The cheapest one can be had for $579 (a 10.5″ with 64GB of space and cellular and WiFi) up to $889 (a 12.9″ with 512GB of space and cellular and WiFi). They represent some significant savings, like in the case of the specced out 12″ which normally costs $1,279 new!
Anyway, if you want a deal on an iPad Pro, this could be the one!
Just to make a little mention to be clear – I did sell mine because I could not keep both that and MacBook so I switched to a compromise of the 13″ MacBook Pro. The iPad Pro 10.5″ is still the best setup I had for mobile blogging, however!
