Amex Offer: $50 Back On $250 Or More At Hilton Hotels and Resorts

This is one of the posts I meant to get to last week but ran out of time – thank you for your patience!

Amex Offer: $50 Back On $250 Or More At Hilton Hotels

While I know we are about miles and points for (almost) free travel, there are times when paying for travel does happen. And, if it does have to happen, no better way to take advantage of it than getting a 20% rebate back on $250 of hotel nights with Hilton! Thanks to American Express, that is possible!

Amex Hilton

The details say that the reservation must be made over the phone, online, or through the Hilton app with your registered Amex offer to allow the $50 back to kick in. It is limited to Hilton Hotels and Resorts properties. Here are the details:

  • $50 back on $250 or more at Hilton hotels
  • Must use by April 5, 2015
  • Not valid on reservations made before registering the bonus (so, just cancel the reservation and make it again if the price is the same)
  • Enrollment limited (so sign up for it soon if you plan on using it)

Here are the terms:

Reservations must be made online at Hilton.com, via the Hilton App or by calling 1-800-445-8667. Offer valid only at Hilton Hotels & Resorts properties. Offer not valid at Waldorf Astoria(TM) Hotels & Resorts, Conrad® Hotels & Resorts, Curio – A Collection by Hilton(TM), DoubleTree by Hilton(TM), Embassy Suites(TM), Hilton Garden Inn(TM), Hampton®, Homewood Suites by Hilton(TM), Home2 Suites by Hilton(TM) and Hilton Grand Vacations. Offer not valid on gift cards. Valid at any participating hotel in the US, including Puerto Rico. Properties in Guam are excluded. Offer not valid for stays that are paid for before or after the promotion start and end dates. Enrollment limited. Must add offer to Card and use same Card to redeem. Corporate Cards and all prepaid Card products are not eligible for this offer. Limit 1 statement credit per American Express Card across all American Express offer channels. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 4/5/15, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you will not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it.

    • The terms say no, but such offers normally work when you buy the gift card at the hotel. However, since it is only for use online or over the phone, I cannot say for sure. I wish I was in a place that I could test it out but I cannot.
