Best Point Earning Credit Cards

You Can Get 50,000 United Miles – But It Wouldn’t Be So Good For Your Friends

A great referral offer is available for the United card – 10,000 miles per conversion! But, it is not so nice for your friends!

Chase has launched another round of their referral bonuses for current cardmembers to refer others. One of the offers extends the highest offer ever for referring the United MileagePlus Explorer card. But, this referral wouldn’t be so kind to your friends!

You Can Get 50,000 United Miles – But It Wouldn’t Be So Good For Your Friends

United miles

This helps you to experience a bit of what it feels like for people with referral links – you have the opportunity to get 10,000 United Miles (worth at least $150) by getting friends or family to sign up for the MileagePlus Explorer card. But, the offer from the referral link is for the inferior 30,000 miles. The 50,000 mile offer comes around at least once per year and is almost always available as a targeted offer. So, you could get a great haul but it would cost your friends and family the 20,000 mile bonus if they do this now and don’t wait until later. What do you do? 🙂

This is one of the reasons I never even advertised the 30,000 mile offer when I had direct Chase links. If a reader were to apply for that, they would be unable to get the 50,000 mile bonus for at least 24 months. It had a decent payout but it was not a good offer so I kept it off.

What Will You Do?

Now you get to be in that driver’s seat! 🙂 If you want 10,000 miles per approval, you can go to the Chase referral site – here – and get those links for that 30,000 mile offer. But, if you really want to help your friends or family get a great value, have them go to theexplorercard.com/50kafw to see if they are targeted. If they are not, just wait and see if the 50,000 mile offer comes out in the next couple of months. This referral offer expires February 5 so I would imagine we could even see a higher offer before that, just not through the referral chain.
