Enter to Win Hyatt Globalist – Hyatt’s Top Tier Elite Status!

Park Hyatt Mallorca Review
Written by Charlie

Here is your opportunity to win Hyatt Globalist elite status for this year! This is Hyatt’s top tier status and comes with some great perks!

Last month, Hyatt rebooted their loyalty program and launched the new World of Hyatt. Among other things, this changed the names of the elite tiers and made it more difficult to obtain the top tier, Hyatt Globalist. However, with that said, Hyatt did add new benefits to their Hyatt Globalist tiers. If you have never experienced top-tier Hyatt status, it was pretty good before! Now, it should be even better.

Enter to Win Hyatt Globalist Status!

Thanks to Hyatt for offering this to the Running with Miles readers!

  • I travel a lot with my mom a lot and tend to stay at the full-service Hyatts using my points. So, the breakfast/club lounge access is extremely useful since it saves us at least $60+ (depending on the location) per day which is huge. Since Globalist status also comes with suite upgrade (pending availability at check-in), the extra space would be appreciated. The 4PM late check-out is nice too but as most of my flights depart before then it’s not a benefit I utilize frequently. Hopefully I win!

    • We recently had an addition to our family, and due to financial constraints, my wife went back to work while we left our son roth my in-laws to take care of. They graciously offered, despite being over sixty and recently retired.

Next month we will be making a Europe trip using our miles, and we are also bringing my in-laws as a thank you. We have some Chase Hyatt nights to use in Zurich and London, but due to the low status, breakfast might be a pricey purchase at those hotels (booked under my name but will be giving it to the in-laws, we’ll stay somewhere else cheaper – they have no idea we’re doing this yet).

Breakfast and upgrades would be extremely appreciated, from our and their perspective. Thank you for the consideration!

  • We have several Hyatt stays coming up and would use the globalist status for breakfast and late checkout!

  • To get married in Maui and staying at the Hyatt Regency Maui. It would be great to get a room upgrade and enjoy all the perks of being a Globalist.

  • I’d use Globalist status for the room upgrades and breakfast on several upcoming trips, including New Orleans, New York, and potentially other trips abroad including to Hong Kong!

  • Our family would use it to help immerse our kids in Italian. We can visit relatives in Milan. Using a suite upgrade we wouldn’t be violating any fire code limits for number of people in usually TINY european rooms. Lounge always a plus!

  • Thanks for running the giveaway in advance! While we may not be celebrating any major, major milestones this year, it’ll be our (still significant) 5th anniversary this year and hopefully our last year of travel (and freedom!) before starting a family. We were planning to do a few trips both domestically and internationally so the Globalist status would be a wonderful surprise (with the complimentary breakfasts and suite upgrades) for my wife. This would certainly have the potential to make a memorable trip we were planning to Maui (the Andaz looks amazing there!!) into an exceptional one!! But regardless who wins, here’s to wishing the winner enjoys some incredible stays this year!

  • I was a Hyatt Diamond for the past 3 years but was sadly a few nights shy of gaining Globalist status. I would benefit a lot with the new globalist status. I love the free breakfast access, room upgrades and the 4pm check out!

If I won, I would book a few more stays this year at the ff. properties:

    – Park Hyatt Maldives: I plan on proposing to my partner of 12 years this year, and I’ve been considering a honeymoon trip at this property. I’m a bit concern, however, that cost could easily rack up. As a Globalist, I would benefit tremendously with the free happy hour drink + nibbles and breakfast (I can’t wait to try the curry I’ve been reading about in trip reports).

-Andaz Mayakoba: I was just at this property, and I’m already itching to go back to the Andaz Mayakoba. I was treated very well as a Diamond back in February. The breakfast spread at this resort was outstanding, and Diamond (globalist) are given generous room upgrades. The hotel provides a ton of activities and the setting (mangrove + beach) is out-of-this-world unforgettable.

    – Park Hyatt Vendome: I stayed at this stunning property at the heart of Paris a few years ago and have been wanting to go back. I have an upcoming trip to Paris, but sadly I decided to book an SPG property (since I still have my platinum status with them). If I were given the Globalist status, I would much prefer staying at the immaculate PH Vendome and trade my sub-par SPG hotel.

  • I’ll be flying back to visit my grandma to take her on an 85th birthday trip. The Grand Hyatt’s in SE Asia look stunning (Hong Kong and Macau, perhaps Singapore) and the Globalist suite upgrades and lounge access would definitely create some incredible memories for her. She had raised me up since I was very little so I would love to be able to surprise her on her big birthday!

  • Travel in Europe to visit family, plus immerse kids in culture and history of the great cities! Travelling with small people, lounge access is huge!

  • My fiancee has been the points and miles guru in our family for the better part of the last 4 years. Thanks to info from your site and the rest of the BA family, she has taken us on some of the most amazing vacations (Park Hyatt Saigon and the presidential suite at the Park Hyatt Vendome gah!) Well I am getting my act together and plan to show her that I can plan the best honeymoon ever.

I am secretly amassing points and miles, but having status would really help me plan the dream vacation she deserves. The Park Hyatt Maldives will fit the bill quite well. I know that food and beverage are uber expensive in the Maldives, so having a breakfast benefit along with top tier status will just make our honeymoon all the more sweet and satisfying. Thanks to you and Hyatt for this awesome giveaway!

  • I was Hyatt Diamond thanks to a status challenge I successfully completed in December to which Hyatt told me I would transfer over to Globalist. They lied and rescinded my status one week prior to conversion over to Globalist and even cancelled my suite night. I would really appreciate the free status as Hyatt failed to give me it. I really enjoyed staying at their properties and feel they do have the best service. I had stayed 15 nights so far this year but had stopped once they removed my status.

  • Thanks for holding this contest! I have quite a few trips planned for the remaining of this year, (where did time go, I can’t believe I just said remaining of the year), and also for part of next year.

For this year, I have a few family weddings to go to. I actually have one at the end of this month and May. For the wedding at the end of this month, I wasn’t planning to stay in a hotel and just do the drive in the early AM and come back afterwards to save some money, but if I were to win, there is a Hyatt nearby that I can book. Having Globalist status couldn’t come at a more perfect time! I would be able to stay at the Hyatt the night before/night of, possibly get a suite/larger room so my family, the little ones, and I can get ready. This would also give us the chance to be well rested so we can focus our energy on celebrating my cousin’s marriage! As for the wedding next month, I already have a Hyatt booked so having Globalist would make the stay even better! It will hopefully give us a larger room, and my little ones can have a special treat and experience a Hyatt breakfast the morning after. Party all night long, and not having to worry about looking for a place for breakfast for the little ones the next morning sounds awesome to me =).

Besides family weddings, we also have a family trip to Toronto for July 4th! I have the Hyatt booked already so this would be a huge positive for us since we can potentially get a bigger room (for the little ones to run around hehe), and also not have to worry about breakfast since we’ll be visiting a new city.

I also have a special anniversary trip in Sept, and I will be “vendome’ing” it at the PH! I’m sure having Globalist there will be extra special =).

Besides those trips, I usually do one big birthday trip during Feb, and I currently have a big trip planned for Japan and Seoul! I don’t have hotels booked yet, but I do have my flights. Having Globalist status would be perfect since that will solve my hotel research, and I can default to the two PH’s in Tokyo and Seoul that I’ve been hearing and reading so much about!

I’m sure I can go on and on, so I will stop here. Thanks again! Have a fab day!!

  • I will treat myself to best possible property if I win the status and then enjoy the benefits of the individual property offers. Waived resort fees will come very handy especially in Vegas!

  • We have several trips coming up surrounding my wife’s race schedule where Hyatt Globalist would be very beneficial for us. She is a marathon runner. I just tag along for support after running my first marathon in Chicago last year. One and done for this guy! We stayed at the Park Hyatt Chicago for the marathon last year and would love to do it again to take advantage of the Globalist benefits. Thank you for your consideration!

  • We have few trips planned with Hyatt stays this year thanks to Hyatt CC nights and saved up hyatt points from last couple years. Both of us have discoverist status so glad no resort fees and late checkout is still going to be there for us. What I will miss the most is Guest of Honor benefits for family and friends I book for. It is nice to show off my point collecting work but even sweeter when they get treated better just because they know a Hyatt diamond member.
    I appreciate the opportunity.

  • I would use Hyatt Globalist for my upcoming trip to Hawaii! Several great Hyatt options there, including the amazing Grand Hyatt! Thanks for offering this contest!

  • While I live in the States, my parents lives in Asia and we’re planning on checking out the Winter Olympics in Korea next February as part of a larger family trip across Asia. I rarely get to see or travel with my parents, so Globalist status would be a great boon for that trip as it would allow me to pamper them with upgraded stays and breakfasts at the Grand Hyatt Seoul, Park Hyatt Shanghai, and Grand Hyatt Hong Kong!

  • I will be working for 3 months in Europe during the summer and away from my family. If I had Hyatt Globalist I would use it to plan a vacation for my family while I am there. I would use miles to fly them to Europe and spend great family time in Milan and Paris at Park Hyatt properties where the Globalist status would allow me to upgrade to a suite so we could all stay in the same room and get free breakfast. That would be an amazing surprise for them.

  • With everything that I have learned from BoardingArea I am taking my family to Europe this summer and the Globalist status would be most useful at the three Hyatts I am staying at:

In Paris it would help feed my family with the free breakfast.
In Nice it would not only help feed my family each morning, but hopefully get us moved to a room with a much better view of the Mediterranean than we’d other wise have.
In Milan it might provide some extra room and luxury for my family, plus the glorious possibility of Globalist Room Service Breakfast.

In each of those cities I have had to book two rooms so it has been a large amount of points, and I fully expect them to be wonderful stays, but Globalist Status would elevate the trip to the next level. Also,

In addition the other trip we have planned this summer would be to the Hyatt in San Diego and once more the Globalist benefits would both make the trip lower cost and higher quality. There may be other trips during the period the Globalist would be valid, but just from what I have booked now we would gain so much. Thank you for your consideration,
    RAP

  • I’m actually coming up on the first real vacation that I’ve been able to have in years (Combination of having the time off as well as the funds to do it properly) celebrating the completion of a major corporate initiative integrating the customer facing side of 3 companies into 1.. It is two pronged, spending Memorial Day week in Hawaii at the new Hyatt Centric Waikiki, and then going to Key West to cheer on a very close friend that is competing in a national best bartender competition.

  • I’ve been Starwood Gold and Marriott Platinum before and am currently Hilton Diamond, but I would love to give Hyatt globalist a try, I may even requalify if I like the treatment.

  • I would use in conjunction with taking advantage of the targeted 40k point bonus credit card offer. Have a trip out west and a trip to Europe upcoming where I could use the benefits.

  • I would love to take my wife and our new baby girl (Lydia) to Hawaii to stay at various Hyatt’s throughout Hawaii. I would love for Lydia’s first beach experience to be somewhere magical, where Mom and I can enjoy a break from the realities of the US mainland.

  • Hey Charlie, thanks for the amazing offer. If I was given Globalist Status, I would bring my family and go to New Jersey and help my mom for a few weeks after her knee replacment surgery and stay at the Hyatt House Mt. Laurel, she lives right around the corner. The free breakfast and pool would make the wife and kids happy. Keep up the great work, I’ll send you pics if I win. 🙂

  • My girlfriends dad is Hyatt globalist and it would impress him if he knew that I was a Hyatt Globalist as well. Currently I am a lowly Discoverist from the Hyatt credit card. Most of the time my status isn’t even acknowledged at check in. Heck, last time I was at a Hyatt, they wouldn’t even give the type of bed I wanted, let alone let me into the executive lounge. I can see why with discoverist status I am not taken seriously by her family either. Maybe when I finally become a globalist her family will think I am worthy enough to be with their daughter…

Even if I don’t win their respect, at the very least it will be nice to have free breakfast for my scheduled trip to the park Hyatt Milan this year. I hear it is quite lovely.

    Thank you for your consideration.

  • Breakfast and late checkout at the Andaz in Maui! Want to renew our vows after my wife’s amazing recovery from a stroke.

  • We will be going on our honeymoon to the Park Hyatt Paris Vendome and the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa

  • I am 75 years old and we are planning to celebrate our 40th anniversary at Hyatt hotels in London, Paris, and Vienna( if we have any points left over will spend them too), I plan to use almost all of our Hyatt points- not just to celebrate 40 great years but also we are in the sunset years and can not take them with us on that next journey –

TIME TO ENJOY and what better way to enjoy than being treated like you’re a VIP at HYATT’S

Read you every day – you do a great job of covering what the “others” do not -even at my age I am still learning

  • I travel solo alot and it would be nice to get some room upgrades and breakfast during my trips. The late check out would be pretty amazing too since most of my flights are redeyes and I am usually at the airport way before my flights.

  • It would definitely be to plan a trip for my wife for our anniversary in August. I can’t think of a better way to enjoy a trip away than to arrive, check in fast and enjoy a cocktail for year number 11!

  • I’m recently retired and ready to travel! I would use the globalist status to upgrade my accommodations while traveling the world!

  • I am not a gifted story teller so I will keep this short and tell you that the Hyatt Globalist status will enable me to give back to my Dad and family by allowing them to enjoy a little more (…and a little better) during our many travel adventures throughout this year…starting with Mexico in May! Having access to breakfast and bigger rooms when traveling with family and elderly parent is a huge advantage and one I’m always grateful for.

  • I’d like to have the Hyatt Globalist simply because it is the best hotel status anyone can have. Period.

  • I’ve never had top tier status on any program before, and I would love to finally experience the free breakfast and upgraded rooms that I keep hearing about at the fancy Park Hyatts. Icing on the cake for an upcoming anniversary trip with my wife.

  • My wife and I will be staying at 3 (possibly 4) Hyatts during our honeymoon to SE Asia this summer and having a couple of upgrades and some breakfast benefits would be awesome to help the trip be that much more special

  • I love travelling and using the Globalist perk to access the regency clubs will make it much easier to see the sights without spending time searching for food.

  • As a Hyatt Globalist, I would love surprise my wife to the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa for our anniversary and would love to use the free breakfast and room upgrades to make our stay more amazing. I would also do stopovers at the Hyatt Regency Phuket and Grand Hyatt Singapore and would love to get a room upgraded and into the club lounge and pay no resort fees. I would also try to use the two United Club one-time pass on this trip.
I would also love to take my parents to Grand Hawaii Kauai Resort and Spa for their Birthday, using room upgrades, free breakfast / club access, no parking fees and no resort fees will help to lower the costs.
I would also take my wife on a winter getaway to Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort, Costa Rica and utilize the room upgrade, free breakfast (in our room) and no resort fees.
I would share the Guest of Honor with my Brother as he is doing a family vacation to Park Hyatt Milan and Park Hyatt Zurich and a trip to NYC in May / June.

  • I simply will use it to get free breakfast at all the Hyatts I have planned including St.Kitts if they open in time.

If that doesn’t win you over I will propose at a Hyatt, Get Married at a Hyatt, take my parents all around the world and only stay at Hyatts. (sarcasm)

  • I have devoted all my personal and corporate stays this year to Hyatt as I currently feel they are the best chain hotel program to be in, both from a service and product perspective. I would greatly appreciate a chance to sample this status tier for all the stays I already have booked this year.

  • Having Hyatt Globalist Status would really help me out with my honeymoon in late 2017. We will be doing an around the world trip and will be staying in Hyatt Hotels that the Globalist status would give us incredible value at. We will be redeeming Hyatt points earned through Ultimate Rewards and free nights from Hyatt Branded Credit Cards at the Park Hyatt Tokyo, Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa, Park Hyatt Vendome, and Park Hyatt New York. This trip has been a long time in planning and having Globalist status would be a tremendous value, and make our honeymoon even more worthwhile and incredible for my fiancee and I.

  • Would make travelling and staying in Hyatts cost effective with the globalist status for my family of three.Planning on Costa Rica and Dubai this year.

  • I have an upcoming stay at Hyatt mission bay, will not have to pay resort fee and parking, with free breakfast

  • Having a Hyatt Globalist status is going to be incredibly useful for the month long Australia and New Zealand trip I am taking in next 2 months. And on the 2 weeks trip to Canada, it would again be very useful. And then again on my short work trips and holidays to Europe, this would certainly help in a lot!

  • I’m currently in the process of planning out a large east Asia tour with my fiancee for our honeymoon. Neither of us have been there and we will be spending quite a few nights in the Park Hyatt Seoul and Park Hyatt Tokyo (as well as Park Hyatt Busan, Hyatt Regency Osaka, and Hyatt Regency Kyoto) with a combination of free nights, and points. We would really benefit from the free breakfast at all of these locations, and would love the possibility of room upgrades (hopefully a suite?).

  • I will run with you on all Marathons from now and call myself “Running with miles to get Hyatt Globalist”.

Love the treatment I got from hyatt over the years and have some 200K+ hyatt points burning in my account that I love to redeem as a globalist.

  • Since we can request to extend our stay until 4p.m. I would have the operator wake me up at 3:59p.m so I can enjoy the good comfort Hyatt properties provide. Was it a dream?

  • I would love Globalist as we have never had lounge access. Just booked Grand Hyatt Kauai, Hyatt Regency Boston, Hyatt inNYC and Huntington Beach Hyatt. This would definitely come in handy and convenient for our family of four. Thank you!!!!

  • I’ve always wanted to go to Kauai and heard really nice things about Hyatt in Kauai. If we go, this will be our family of 4’s first ever visit to Hawaii and we are sure that we will have a blast. Globalist status will make our trip really affordable and I will earn ‘cool daddy points’ from my kids!

  • My family would enjoy the club lounge at the Hyatt Regency Tokyo as well as at the Hyatt Regency Orange County.

We would also make use of the late check out at the Hyatt Pinon Pointe in Sedona.

I’ll likely switch work travel to Hyatt to earn bonus points as well as potentially get upgraded.

If I get the United club passes, I’ll likely leverage those as well when travelling to NYC.

  • I’m a graduating medical student. We have this crazy system where we interview for jobs throughout the country and then rank the jobs we interview at. Jobs then rank everyone they interview and a big computer system matches graduates to jobs. Its a crazy system and we only get one chance at it so have to do tons of interviews. This upcoming year, I expect to go on 15+ interviews and having Globalist status would make the whole process so much more barely. Having a nicer room before and after traveling to a new place to interview will keep me fresh and top form.

  • My finance and I are planning our honeymoon to go to Miami, Key West and Aruba this coming fall and having Globalist status would make our honeymoon that much more memorable.

  • I’d love to return to the Hyatt Ziva Cancun where I had a fabulous trip recently!

  • I would definitely take advantage of the Mlife partnership while in Vegas and I may have to change a few nights to a Hyatt while in Italy later this year if I get status!

  • Would love to take my parents to the Hyatt lounges for breakfast and snacks on our upcoming family vacations in Asia!

  • Our recent addition to our family is now getting to an age where we are more comfortable travelling with him. We already have trips planned for Hyatt Ziva in Cabo as well as Hyatt in Orlando for this year. Getting Globalist status this year would make our trips even more memorable and allow us to spread out a bit more via some of the fantastic benefits. My wife and I have always been Hyatt loyalists but haven’t been able to maintain status due to refocusing our time to our child. Thank you for the opportunity!

  • I would use the perk for an upcoming trip to the Park Hyatt in Zanzibar. The benefits such as breakfast would be useful for my family. Love your blog Charlie…especially since now I have started running!!

  • My gf in Korea loves the Park Hyatt Seoul and would be amazing if I could get a suite upgrade for a proposal this year!

  • Wow, so generous! I’m going to stay at the Grand or Park Hyatt NY this summer (using 2 free night from cc) to take my son (wife too!) to see the Statue of Liberty. He’s 6 and has been begging to go for a while. We’ll also be spending 5 days at Andaz Papagayo after Christmas. The Globalist perks would make these trips that much sweeter! I might even try to squeeze in a trip to Carmel Highlands, and I’d definitely be planning more of my stays around Hyatt brands. Thanks, cheers!

  • I was Hyatt Diamond two years ago and ever since I lost status, I have been begging my top tier friend to book guest of honor award bookings for me throughout 2016. If I get blessed with Globalist status this year, I plan to do an around the world tour, at the minimum, hitting up Park Hyatt Maldives, Park Hyatt Tokyo, and Park Hyatt Sydney. Excluding Sydney, I want to see if they truly do offer suite upgrades at time of checkin for Globalist members. For reference, I have already met 50 nights with SPG to land my 10 SNAs and have little to no incentive to continue with giving SPG business the rest of 2017. Requalifying for Globalist status for 2018 would be a no-brainer for me if I win this contest, since the current year’s Globalist perks are incentive enough for me to really go the extra mile with Hyatt. Unlike the other Globalist winners from the other BA contests, I do not plan to travel with my family. I like to roll with my crew when I travel. And with Globalist, I can then book guest of honor rooms for my buds who will travel with me, while scoring the same Globalist perks for myself. That’s stacking one perk on top of another! I promise you, I will make VERY good use of the Globalist status. Sitting on ~80K Hyatt pts and ~250K Chase UR pts, I will be cash and points my way to get the elite nights required for 2018!

  • Would love to win Globalist this year. My wife and I used to travel for vacations a lot, enough that we had top tier status and loved taking advantage of it. But then life happened…kid number 1….. then kid number 2. All elite status, and ease of travel, were gone within a year (not that we would trade it for anything!). I do travel some for work, but not enough to get any status. Now that the two small children (1.5 and 3.5) are finally at the age where the four of us can start to travel without too much trouble, we have many trips already planned this year. Being able to stay at a Hyatt with breakfast included would save us a ton of money. And upgrades to rooms at check-in could be key to have a more enjoyable stay with all of us packed into one room.

  • I’m a Hyatt Explorist (thanks to M Life match) but to be granted Globalist would be to reach the pinnacle of travel hacking success…..for a solid 11 months. I travel with my twin girls and wife often and choose Hyatt over Hilton and SPG despite being a Diamond and Platinum for those respective hotel loyalty programs.

With Hyatt stays already booked in Seattle, NYC, Orlando and San Francisco for the summer, Globalist status would make this double duty daddy a happy man and giddy like a school girl.

Thanks for the promo contest opportunity and hope to be the lucky winner!

  • I would love to win the Hyatt Globalist status. Hyatt is our absolute favorite brand of hotels. My wife and I have an upcoming trip to Andaz Papagayo and would love a possible suite upgrade and/or complimentary breakfast (rave reviews about breakfast @ Rio Bhongo). We would also love to have complimentary parking since we plan on renting a car as well. For our one year anniversary we are also looking at a trip to the Hyatt Zilara in Cancun. Last year, we really enjoyed the club room at the Hyatt Maui Resort and Spa for our honeymoon and would love future stays to include club access or breakfast included. Thank you!

  • Having Hyatt Globalist status would mean my family could use lounge access at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale. Water, sodas, and snacks really add up when you bring all the kids on a staycation to have fun on the pools and water slides.

  • I would use mine on my upcoming trip to Paris with my girlfriend (fiancée after the trip.) We’re both in our late 40s and have never been to Europe so I’d like to make this trip as special as possible.

  • This Sept is my dad’s 70th b-day and he would like to visit France to celebrate. My mom will be joining us and I’d like to be able to upgrade them to a nice suite at the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome.

  • My family loves Hyatt. They are our first choice when we travel. Back in 2015 I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I got a 8 month break before the cancer came back. In the meantime we have been on a bucket list of travels! We just returned from Maui and the Hyatt. Having Globalist would be a huge perk for us especially with breakfast and extra point earnings for our next trip. Saves us money on breakfast also. Plus the more we save the more we travel. I get 1 week wage month between chemos and we have trips planned each time! We shall be in Las Vegas shortly and having a better Mlife status match also helps. Having status would just make everything more special.

  • My sister and I are ten years apart and for the past few “0” birthdays we and on occasion a cousin or two (also celebrating) have gone away to celebrate. We’ve been to Napa, San Francisco, Sicily and a few others. Next year it is our “5” birthdays (we’re getting older and want to get in as many vacations as possible) a cousin or two as well and my younger daughters 21st. Winning this would help in our planning and would be the icing on the cake

  • Thanks for offering this. We have 3 more week long trips planned for Hyatt this year for our family of 4 would love to have Globalist status for these!

  • Thanks for offering this. We have 3 long trips planned for Hyatt this year for our family of 4 would love to have Globalist status for these!

  • I have 37 stays booked through Jan 2018 with Hyatt and have no status with them right now. Would be great to earn points and perks at the Globalist level!

  • The best perks of Globalist for me are club lounge access and 4pm check out. I have a trip coming up to Paris and would love to use these perks while staying at the Hyatt Regency.

  • First I would use the status to achieve peace, not world peace but my peace of mind. Later I would help the poor, using the status to provide upgrades to myself and my family.

  • My wife and I use our points for award nights at various Hyatt’s about once per month. We LOVE Hyatt even though we are only lowly Discoverist members. With Hyatt Globalist, we would spend more time at properties with club lounges. I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Maui and splurged to try out the club lounge. One of the evening appetizers was my absolute favorite treats of all time, COCONUT SHRIMP! I may have had like 30. If I win, I promise to eat less than 30 shrimps in the club lounges! Shoutout to Hyatt for always providing spectacular service and amazing memories!!

  • Thanks for running this giveaway! I travel most often with my 3 kids and in the past having status has been a tremendous help – Hyatt is by far our favorite hotel chain for the excellent service they’ve always given us. Earning Globalist status for the next year would be absolutely amazing as we have several trips planned over the next 14 months, including Hawaii, Abu Dhabi, and the Philippines. The suite upgrades and extra space would be a huge bonus in helping keep the kids out of each other’s hair (and off mommy’s nerves :)). And the free breakfast / club lounge access would save us so much money – because the kids sure can eat!

  • Thank you for your generosity in giving away globalist status. After reading all the previous comments, there’s no way you won’t choose someone deserving. Good luck finding your favorites. As for me, I’ve never had top tier status with any chain…only gold or platinum. If I was chosen, I would plan out my year looking for Hyatt properties and then schedule my trips around them. I’m recently retired and doing a bit of mileage running. Status could come in handy on European trips based on all the comments above. Of course, there’s Hawaii. That’s next years’ trip with the grandkids. Thanks again for this opportunity. You’re going to make someone very happy next Monday!

  • Hello! My husband is the guy who ate the 30 coconut shrimp at the Hyatt Regency in Maui… I will also make sure he keeps his food intake in the club lounges down if we win! I love Hyatt and being able to have waived resort fees with Globalist status would be a dream! Watching penguins get fed at the Hyatt Regency Maui for free because of my waived resorts fees is all I need in life! Pick me!…or that guy who eats a lot of shrimp! BIG Thank you to Charlie and Hyatt for the opportunity!

  • My one and only Hyatt experience was at the Park Hyatt Shanghai. That being said, it was AMAZING and I’ve been committed to trying out more Hyatt properties ever since. I’m a new credit card holder, and have stays booked later this year for the Park Hyatt Vendome and Hyatt Regency in Nice. This is a special trip for my wife’s 30th birthday and a suite upgrade alone would be an incredible surprise. I’ll be at the Hyatt Regency Boston next month, where Globalist status would also save me $55 in parking alone! Thank you for considering me!

  • Our family of 2+1 (and 1 to come) plan on taking several trips over the next year. Especially at Beaver Creek, saving on resort fees, parking, and breakfast adds up to on the order of $250/day! We heavily leverage Chase points and the combination of Hyatt top tier status as much as possible and Globalist would change the game for us.

Current plans: 2 trips 4-5 days each Park Hyatt Beaver Creek, 4 days Park Hyatt Aviara, 4 days Park Hyatt Tokyo, 4 days Park Hyatt Washington DC.

Would love to get Globalist. Without it, we would likely rethink of where to stay on almost all of our upcoming trips for the next year. Most likely a Platinum Challenge for Marriott and match to SPG Platinum to shift everything over SPG/Marriott. Also, the Guest of Honor benefits would be an amazing gift for my mother and father asthey will be staying in Park Hyatt Shanghai, Park Hyatt Guangzhou, and Singapore this year.

    Really hope to get it!

  • Honestly my wife and I had given up on hotels. We’ve booked Airbnb for the last 3 years. I would use the globalist status to return to the glory of a decadent hotel stay.

  • Every year we have our 3 generations family get together at Grand Hyatt Bali. This year is very special as we welcome the 4th generation to our family reunion. The Hyatt Globalist status will be of great value and help given the free breakfast, room upgrade and late checkout. Thanks in advance!

  • One of the most overlooked benefits of this status, that I got to take advantage of a lot when I was still a Diamond member, was the ability to extend my status to my family members when I book rooms for them with my points. Gifting them with Globalist stays seem so trivial but, for someone who lives halfway across the world from them, being able to do this is very special.

  • Thanks for organizing this fantastic giveaway! I am an avid birdwatcher, and over the last few years, I have made it a point to take weekend trips several times a month to different parts of the United States and Canada to see and photograph different types of birds. My goal for 2017 is to see over 500 species, which will require a lot of traveling! Having Hyatt status would allow me to travel more frequently and stay on top of work while I’m doing it. I’d be happy to share photos of birds and trips!

  • I have an upcoming “trip of a lifetime” with my partner, whereby we shall start in Melbourne Australia, and slowly make my way up north over the rest of the year, covering australia (Mel, Cbr, Syd) indonesia (Bali, Yogyarkarta, Jarkarta) singapore, malaysia (KK, KL, Kuantan), philipines (manila, borocay), vietnam (HCMC, Hanoi, Danang), cambodia (phnom penh, siem reap, sihanoukville) thailand (Hua Hin, BKK, phuket, chiang mai), hong kong, taiwan, china (shenzhen to jilin province), korea (Jeju, Seoul, Busan), before ending in Japan (Fukuoka, Osaka, Kyoto, Hakone, Tokyo, hokkiado). Both of us have been sufficient miles to pay for the flights, and we will trying alternative modes of travel such as driving Mel to Syd, Singapore to kuantan, Trains in China, Busan to Fukuoka via ferry, trains in Japan. Unfortunately neither of us have any significant point balances in any hotel programs, as our work/personal travels have always been with boutique/non chain hotels. A lot of the places i intend to visit (my partner has no clue about the itinerary) are well represented by Hyatt properties , and having Hyatt status will mean free breakfast (PH Guangzhou 1700CNY vs 2175CNY Rate with breakfast) and club lounge access, which makes a huge price difference compared to if I were to pay for the same luxuries in cash (CBR Hyatt Park King at 304AUD vs Club King at 475AUD). Not to forget the potential upgrades, which even though it is subject to availability, having a chance just to experience suites that I could never afford on a trip this long, will really make this extended vacation magical. Out of the 45+ places I intend to stop at (list is still changing particularly for china) as of now i believe only 8 do not have a Hyatt in the vicinity. As for the rest, the incentive of the value added by the status more than justifies all my possible stays to be in Hyatts. As there have been a lot of entries, and my ramblings is not exactly short, thank you for taking the time my entry.

  • I would use Globalist status to better accommodate my 6 person family with upgrades to larger rooms, to pamper my wife (who deserves it for raising 4 children) with weekends away, and to take each of my children on a special birthday trip with daddy (I’m doing this anyway, but a beautiful suite in a classy hotel fills a 5 year old with wonder)!

  • My wife and I lost both our moms this past year and we going to take our dads back to the old countries in Europe to visit their families. Globalist status would make these trips and the Hyatt stays with breakfasts and late checkouts so much nicer for them. Thanks for the opportunity to enter your contest.

  • It is my wife’s 50th birthday this year, my 50th birthday and our 25th wedding anniversary next year, so we have lots to celebrate! When we think back on some of the best vacations we’ve had over the years, many involved staying at a Hyatt. I would treat my wife to first at a stay at the Andaz in Napa and indulge in the incredible breakfast that they offer, and then stay at the Hyatt at Embarcadero in San Francisco and be able to have a view of the city from the lounge at the top, as well as at the Hyatt in Carmel and have a great view of the ocean, and then fly off to Hawaii and stay at the Andaz in Maui and be able to treat ourselves to the wonderful breakfasts there and free parking. In each stay, hopefully receive and enjoy a nice room upgrade. As a family trip with all the boys, get away from the cold and stay at the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall in Jamaica

  • I would use the status for my family travel this year. We have several weeks planned and free breakfast, club access and larger rooms would be a great benefit and some relief for the purse.

  • Hi,
I am going to take a couple of months of sabbatical to travel with my small daughter before she enters school next summer. This is the last chance for years to take a longer period of time of. As travelling is expensive the savings from breakfast, lounges and resort fees would be greatly appreciated.

  • I would like Hyatt globalist because we are taking a trip to Europe for the first and free breakfast and no resort fees would definitely stretch out very limited budget.

  • Thanks, Charlie!

My family would get much use out of the Hyatt Globalist status. My wife and I have three very young kids so naturally we do not get out much as we would like, but with this status we could get out a lot more.

First, I would love to be able to take my wife the Park Hyatt in Paris or NYC for our anniversary in June. She loves going out for breakfast so having a free breakfast at the hotel would be wonderful. Also, free parking would go a very long way.

Second, since we live near Chicago and I have some Hyatt points, it would be great to do mini staycations with the whole family. In a place like Chicago, free parking and free breakfast plus a possible suite upgrade for the family is almost worth more than the room itself!

In the end, my family and I would get tremendous value out of Globalist status. Thanks again for this.

  • I love to travel. Throughout my life, which is getting longer (not older!), I have traveled alone, with my husband, and with my children. I think I have given them the desire to experience other cultures and people. Now that I am going through a difficult period and won’t be traveling for work ( read into it) I won’t get any high status. Not that I have gotten that many anyway. I’d love to plan a trip with my husband, children, and their special person and get the Hyatt perks. I’d never achieve globalist on my own. Thanks, if I get it, and Congrats to the winners!

  • Thank you for this contest — really great. Best of luck to everyone!

If I won, I would use the Globalist status on my business-related trips (4x year), but really want it for a trip I am planning this year to Australia/New Zealand to celebrate my 20th wedding anniversary with my incredible wife. She doesn’t know about the trip yet (it’s a surprise). I would love to enjoy with her the incredible amenities that the World of Hyatt Globalist status brings (suite upgrades would be amazing).

Keep up the great work on your blog!

  • Globalist status would be of much use to me this coming September when I take my mom on a once-in-a-lifetimes trip through Southeast Asia. While I have already booked the Park Hyatt Siem Reap, should I win, I would be sure to book Hyatt’s at all possible stops (i.e. Singapore, Saigon).. Yes the room upgrades, breakfasts and lounge access would be very helpful both practically and in mitigating costs but my hope is that these little benefits would really just make the trip feel just a little more special. Thank you for the contest

  • Not having much growing up and living on an average income, the points and miles community has given me the ability to experience places and things beyond my imagination. Still being a frugalist at heart, the complimentary breakfast, parking, and extra bonus points get me the most value from the status. I am very partial to the Hyatt brand because I feel their level of quality is fairly consistent, even spread out among the various categories. I would love to be able to use the Globalist status for a trip to Kauai as well as Park City next winter. Good luck choosing a winner!

  • I would love Hyatt Globalist so that when I return to the Park Hyatt Vendome I get treated like a king, as the last time I stayed there as a Diamond, they made the stay my favorite hotel stay of all time!

  • My wife just retired last year and I personally have seven weeks of vacation I can now use each year (over 30 plus years at the same company). As a result we are traveling once sometimes twice in a month. Many of our stays are Hyatt hotels. Having Hyatt Globalist would certainly enhance our hotel experience and expand our waistlines (all the included breakfast food -LOL). Our next trip is over Easter weekend when we are flying down to San Antonio and staying at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk. If you would choose to bestow upon me Hyatt Globalist status.. I can guarantee it will get used and used often over the next year. Thanks for your consideration.

  • I would love to treat my family to spectacular Hyatt Hotels as Hyatt Globalists. I would love to relax and enjoy without worrying about the price of breakfast.

  • In terms of general travel, hailing from Guam, I’ve only known so much. Stumbling upon blogs such as yours has allowed me to explore a world I could’ve only dreamed of, having opportunities to stay at upgraded hotel suites and flying suites (via SQ) last year. Had a few Hyatt stays as well, but those experiences fell a tad short (but still great) only having status via credit card. Experiencing the Hyatt brand from a Globalist brand will definitely open my eyes to much more of the ‘Hyatt World’. Thanks for the opportunity!

  • I am retired and over 80 and still enjoy to travel. The status would help me to travel more (alone and with my family of children and grandchildren), while I am still able to do so.

  • I am over 80 and retired, but still love to travel with my grandchilderen as long as I am able to do so. The status would greatly help with my travels.

  • My life is going to have a big challenge and will start a brand new life of moving from Asia to the US.
To celebrate this big step, it would be great to have Globalist status and enjoy all the perks at Hyatt hotel in Italy.
Thank you for providing this great opportunity to achieve our dreams.

  • Thank you for the opportunity to win the Globalist status! Since I use UR points to book hotels, I currently don’t have any status.

Having this status would tremendously improve/benefit my family trips this year as we (a family of four – 2 adults & 2 kids) have several Hyatt reservations coming up. Additionally, we can utilize the status to book “guest of honor” reservations to extract more value.

Here are some of the reservations we have booked in 2017:

    Andaz Maui (8 nights)
    Grand Hyatt Washington (3 nights)
Andaz Mayakoba (3 nights) – with my parents
    Andaz Papagayo (7 nights) – with in-laws

Based on these trips alone, we will save $3k-$4k just on breakfast and parking (and some resort fees as we have cash/point booking at two resorts) . Plus, possible upgrade opportunities to a larger room or a suite would be awesome!

    Thanks again!

  • My fiance and I would use it at the Andaz Maui during our honeymoon next January! I’ve accumulated plenty of points for this exact purpose so the upgraded status would really help.

  • I’ll be travelling with my friends and family throughout the USA and to Mexico the next few months and will be staying at Hyatt properties.

  • Park Hyatt Tokyo. Would love to stay there for the Tokyo marathon next year (assuming I get in!)

  • I’m planning to take my Mom on a (surprise!) trip to Hawaii for her 65th birthday. We’re going to be staying at the Grand Hyatt Kauai and Hyatt Regency Maui. The club access and possible suite upgrades would be so, so appreciated for this very special trip and would blow her away. She grew up poor and had never traveled much, so just flying in economy is a special treat. Flying in first class and staying at hotels of this caliber (thanks to my hobby) will leave her speechless.

With my own little family (husband + 2 kids), we have plans within the next year to visit: NYC (Andaz 5th Ave), Savannah (Andaz), Disney (Hyatt Regency Orange County), and I’m hoping to add in a Europe trip this summer. We are already Hyatt lovers, but having Globalist status would make these trips so much better and save us so much money – not to mention how much more convenient it is to have something like club access when your young kids just want a little snack to tide them over between meals! Thanks for the opportunity to enter 🙂

  • I’ve been a Hilton Diamond member for a few years now, but their new point system doesn’t really click with me. I’ve been reading about Hyatt’s great loyalty program, and am really interested in trying it. If all goes well, it’s “bye bye Hilton” and “hello Hyatt!”

  • An upgrade to suite, even the basic one, is something that I’ve tried to get with my Accor platinum card for years, but have only succeeded a few times. With a Hyatt Globalist status, my chance of being upgraded to suite is greater, so I can enjoy my vacations more. Well, at least I hope that was the case.

  • We´ll stay in Asia next May during my birthday… To enjoy Hyatt Globalist Status would be perfect…… Thanks a lot!

  • My husband and I love to travel and take as many trips as possible while working the normal Monday to Friday workweek. I have been at my job for 18 years now so having 5 weeks of vacation and 2 weeks of holidays during a year helps maximize the many trips we take. When we travel, we value lounge access the most. Being able to have coffee and breakfast before preparing to leave for a day of exploring really helps us get started. An upgrade to a suite is always nice as well! Since the majority of our trips are leisure, we book our flights pretty far in advance. We presently have flights booked through February 2018 and are still planning a couple more prior to when the Globalist status would expire. Here is how we could use Hyatt Globalist status through February 2018. I have a trip to Vegas for a conference in a couple of weeks and Hyatt status transfers to M Life. I am booked at an M Life hotel already for this trip. I then have a work trip to Atlanta in May and am presently booked with coworkers at a Hyatt there. I have a one night stay in Austin at the beginning of June for a seminar and am booked at a Hyatt for that. A trip to Portland in June for our nephew’s birthday could allow a Hyatt stay in downtown. Washington, DC for July 4th has some Hyatt’s to choose from. We have a trip booked to Sydney in September and will be staying at the Hyatt Regency for this trip. Then we have a trip to Seoul in October for our anniversary and Hong Kong in November. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Hong Kong last year with our free nights from the credit card sign up. This was a great use of the free nights, but we did not receive lounge access or an upgrade on that stay. I have heard the lounge at this location is one of the best available. We also just booked a really fun trip for January 2018 which includes one night in San Francisco. We want to stay by the airport that evening and there is a Hyatt we could stay at. The other cities that we already have airfare booked for do not have any Hyatt’s nearby, however, I would most likely also have a couple of work trips to Austin and could use Hyatt status on those trips as well. We have not yet decided which trip we will use our one free night from the credit card for, but we would love to combine that with lounge access and the chance of a room upgrade. It would be great to accomplish staying in five different Hyatt brands during a year with Globalist status. We already have two brands booked and would enjoy trying to reach all 5 in one year. Thank you for your consideration in this giveaway!

  • Breakfast benefit and upgrade at check in would be a huge deal. I’ve a trip planned to VIE and would love to stay at PH.

  • Hyatt is simply the best hotel chain out there! Unfortunately, I’m living in a country with only 5 Hyatt properties (next one to me is about 600 kilometers away), so I won’t ever pass the qualification criteria for reaching Globalist as I don’t travel for business reasons. I absolutely love staying at Hyatt properties, with free breakfast and the chance of getting an upgrade to a suite I’d even more enjoy my leisure stays with my loved ones (and saving some bucks…). Help me making my stays even more memorable and pick me

  • Charlie, thanks a lot for giving us a chance to win Hyatt Globalist. I am currently planning a trip back to Asia this Summer with my wife and 6 years old son. We are all fans of Hyatt hotels. We would love to have the chance to access the club lounge to have breakfast in the morning and hors d’oeuvres at night. Hong Kong and Tokyo are the two cities that we will visit on this trip. It would be very nice if we can be upgraded to a bigger room or suite.

In HK, we are planning to stay 4 nights at Hyatt Regency TST and another 4 nights at Grand Hyatt HK. In Tokyo, we are planning to stay 4 nights at Andaz Tokyo and another 4 nights at Grand Hyatt Tokyo.

The additional benefits from Hyatt Globalist will definitely enhance our hotel stay experience, and hopefully this will be one of memory event for my son’s 7th year old birthday and our 10 years’ anniversary celebration.

Again, thanks for sharing this with us. Hope you have a lot of great trips in 2017. And share a lot of fun and informative articles with all of us.

  • What a generous offer. I do not currently have any Hyatt status, but we do multiple trips a year as a family of 5. We love to travel and we are sharing that love with our young children. The biggest perk I would love to have as a Globalist (as you have mentioned) is the lounge access. We have used Hyatt lounges on award stays before and we were able to stretch that perk to include breakfast for the family as well as dinner through the hot evening food. It saves a ton on food. We also would love to have the complimentary upgrades to suites so our family could stretch out. We have trips planned this year to Hawaii, New York and Berlin, and more without any lodging plans setup. Hyatt is our go-to hotel chain for value when transferring Chase Ultimate Reward points. We also love to do weekend getaways to the nearby Hyatts in Orange County, Ca (Huntington Beach and Newport Beach) so the kids can experience the pools and other amenities. The free parking and lounge access would be a lifesaver on out of pocket costs. We are driving up to stay at the Hyatt Huntington Beach in early May in fact.

We love your blog and look forward to reading about whoever it is that wins the Globalist status.

    Keep up the great work!

  • Thanks for the amazing giveaway!! I could definitely make use of the Hyatt Globalist status for my delayed honeymoon trip this summer in Europe. We weren’t able to take our honeymoon right after our wedding due to a close family member’s passing, so this will trip will allow us to celebrate their life and finally take some time to ourselves.

  • I have to admit, I’ve never been to any Hyatt – shame on me, i know…I was close to staying in the one in Nice, but in the end went for the Mercure (not the best choice by the way). While I like traveling, I tend to take my Mom with me as often as possible, as I want her to see as many Places as possible. That is one of the Reasons, why I – why we – stay in Chain-Hotels mostly, thats IHG with Interconti or the Hilton-Brand. Sad enough, I lost my Hilton Status, and here the Hyatt would come in handy, honestly 🙂

  • With an almost 3 year old and another baby coming soon, it would be awesome to be able to get suite upgrades while continuing to travel. A trip to Paris is coming next month 🙂

  • Thanks a lot for this great giveaway! I’m from Germany and we’ll be in the US again this summer, so it would be great to get the nicest rooms there! And there are really pretty Hyatt Hotels here in Europe, too!

  • Well – one of my biggest hobbies of me and my bf is traveling around the world. I’m a real foodie as well. If I could choose a job in my life I would become a hotel tester since i try to stay in excellent hotels where possible and really enjoy the good service and value it a lot. The funny thing is that my friends would tell you the same. When we are going on holidays I am also responsible for organising everything especially the hotels. Therefore I’m willing to pay more since you get the benefit of an excellent service. My favourite hotel in Germany is the Park Hyatt Hamburg by the way. I never experienced such a personal service and elegant ambience like there. But speaking for Europe – all Hyatt properties are excellent. Beginning in Mainz, over PH Vienna and PH Zurich. Awesome houses. I also have the Gourmet Card for the German Hyatt hotel group for many years now since I really enjoy good food and try to combine it with nice stays. The restaurants and the service are amazing. Until now I was always very satisfied with my stays in the Hyatt hotels but sure I’m at around 15 stays in a year so I can’t make it to a globalist usually. In my daily life I’m a textile engineer traveling around the world but mostly to small cities in India or China and not everywhere can be a Hyatt hotel. Therefore I try to stay at least one night in a Hyatt property when flying back from a business trip to rejuvenate at least for that day after the mostly very exhausting two weeks in a textile mill at 40 degrees Celsius. Nevertheless it would be so wonderful to get the globalist status for one year. I also try to attend cooking classes all around the world where possible in the Hyatt hotels and you can be sure that I would stay there overnight as well. It would be great if you would choose me since you can be sure I would not only use it but also appreciate it from all my heart.

  • I’m a huge tennis fan and am planning to travel to all four grand slam in Paris, London, NYC and Melbourne over the next year. I always try to stay at Hyatt’s when I travel as they are the most enjoyable of any hotel chain I have stayed at around the world. I would use this status for my planned stays.

  • Sounds like Hyatt is scrambling for acceptance of their, some might say, unreasonably tough top elite requirements 🙂

  • I am about to take a year off of work to travel the world. Hyatt Globalist would status would certainly allow me to do so in style – and it would be put to good use!

  • I have never had a top elite status and always wondered what it would be like travelling with one.
I’m planning my next trip with my wife this summer, and it will be the last trip we go alone as we are expecting a baby this October. It would be great help if I have a Hyatt Globalist status!

  • We have some Hyatt stays coming up this year and wanna use the globalist status for unforgettable memories.

  • I would use Hyatt Globalist status for several international trips this year including a family reunion at London’s Hyatt Regency, a popular Hyatt hotel with elite members.

  • Public school teacher here– it is not often that we get to indulge in experiences like this! It would be a dream of mine to take my mom to the Grand Hyatt Kauai!

  • Thanks, would love to win this for upcoming stays with my family at Hyatt Regency San Francisco, Grand Hyatt Kauai, Andaz Tokyo and Hyatt Hakone.

    Thanks!

  • Would love to use this for the 3-4 nights a month I camp out at Hyatts due to Airbnb 🙂

  • If I win I will be heading to the Maldives with the new status….Please!

  • Would love to use hyatt status for visit to my son in Seattle, maybe go back to grand Hyatt Kauai as well!

  • In September my husband and I will celebrate our 40th anniversary! We started saving for a special trip a couple of years ago, but unexpected expenses (accidents and surgeries and TAXES, oh, my!) took all our savings. I was discouraged, to say the least. Just over a year ago, a friend recommended I try making a trip on rewards. I’ve spent the time equivalent of a part-time job learning about points (and paid those dreaded taxes to meet the Chase Preferred spend!) and building balances in several ways. (Thank you, Charlie, and all your blogger colleagues, for your guidance!)
The Hyatts we’ve stayed in have been stunning, but we’ve never been upgraded like a Globalist.
What a special treat it would be to have a Globalist status for the amazing trip we have planned almost entirely on points!

  • My wife and myself just got married last year and this summer and winter we are taking 2 trips over to Europe. The status would help us save some money on hotel stays with the free breakfast and internet. I stay roughly 80 nights a year with SPG, and this would allow me to have the globalist status to try out Hyatt. I would use Hyatt where I could instead of SPG!

  • I’d like to get Hyatt Globalist status for my patient husband, who has driven me many times to check in to cheap Hyatts near airports for mattress runs, in the effort to reach Diamond status. After a few long trips, I said “let’s forget it this time,” but he said “C’mon, it will only take a few minutes, and think of all those free breakfasts!”

  • Hyatt has always been one of my favorites, but I have stuck with the Hilton Honors with virtually the same benefits when staying at Hilton branded hotels. My Hilton status is a benefit of the American Express Business Platinum card. I very much enjoy the Hyatt properties that I have stayed in and would switch my loyalty to Hyatt. They have some of the best hotels in the world, and would like to experience them to the fullest. I have a few trips coming up that I can easily transition the Hilton reservations to Hyatt reservations. Happy Travels.

  • I am active duty military and I always try to stay at Hyatts when on-base lodging isn’t available. I am travelling a lot this summer for work and I would definitely use the benefits of this status.

Most importantly, this year is my wife’s 30th birthday, and I would love to make her birthday trip through Europe all the more special with this status. The room upgrades and breakfast benefit would maximize her relaxation for sure!

  • I’d use it for club access when traveling with my family, to Boston this fall, especially.

  • I recently lost diamond status and miss it already! Have a number of stays coming up where it would be extremely useful

  • I definitely would love to use the Globalist status when I travel in a few months for my best friends wedding! Having a suite (potentially) to hang out and catch up with the gang, free breakfast, etc. would be amazing while we’re all up there for a few days!

  • I would use it in Cancun for our anniversary. We are also bring my wife’s brother and his fiance to be married there as well.

  • This would definitely come in handy at the Park Hyatt Tokyo. The breakfast benefit would be amazing.

  • I’m personally going through some rough time and would love to go around the world to heal my soul and mind and I know hyatt can just do that.

  • I have the hyatt card for 5 yeras with platinum status but never really get to experience of this status. I do not travel a lot, but when I do, I try to stay in hyatt They only thank me for being loyal but never get the perks. I am going to my home country to celebrate my 55 yrs birthday this year and I am staying in Hyatt City Of Dreams Manila using points I earn from using the card and cash for 6 days. It would be a nice birthday present to experience the top tier globalist just for a day on my birthday and nothing more, as the status that hold the hyatt credit card went down one notch from platinum. if I do not win, its fine I am staying with Hyatt way anyway somehow I feel like a winner..

  • This mommy – of – two needs a vacation! Being a sahm for a year has drained me something nice.

  • Globalist would make an already amazing Hawaii hyatt vacation even more awesome. Love hyatt and have always been well taken care of!

  • Celebrating my milestone birthday this summer — by staying at the Park Hyatts in Milan, Zanzibar… and Hadahaa (of course) — would love to have the great benefits the Globalist status would afford. Thank you —

  • I spend about 200 nights a year away from home usually halfway around the world working on cargo ships in places that points and miles can’t take you. I have however gathered millions of point and miles from this hobby so I am using them with my soon to be wife to travel on our honeymoon to the Mediterranean. We will be flying business class the whole way, UR points transferred to united, flying TAP, Air China, Austrian, and Swiss, with a stopover in Vienna staying at the park Hyatt on points and free night certs. We are also taking a Cruise out of BCN subsidized by Arrival points. My bachelor Party will be in Vegas on points as well.

  • Park Hyatts are among my favorite hotels and I would love to enjoy Globalist status while staying with them. My 3 favorite locations are Vienna, New York, and Buenos Aires. I also enjoy many of the other Hyatt brands and locations: Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, Hyatt Regency Dusseldorf, the Hyatt Centric in Chicago. Again with any of these hotels I’d love to have Globalist status. Thanks for running this promotion!

  • Hyatt Diamond made for my absolute favorite hotel stays. Would love to re-live the adventure.

  • I’m planning multiple trips with family this year to Europe/Asia, and would especially love the suite upgrades, breakfast benefits, and club lounge access. If selected, I would visit the Hyatt Regency Churchill (LON), PH Vendome, PH Vienna, PH or Andaz Tokyo, PH Milan, amongst others. I’ve had status with some of the other loyalty chains before, but Hyatt has been the best and most consistent of them all!

  • My fiancée and I are getting married in three weeks and would use it on our post wedding mini-moon and multiple trips and other weddings we are attending in 2017. Neither my fiancée or I have ever had a top hotel status before so having Hyatt globalist status for our 2017 travels would be a really cool enchancement to our hotels stays in 2017, and be a great surprise gift for my fiancée who deserves some relaxation after dealing with the stress of getting ready for a wedding.

  • Based in Europe I have had little chance to experience Hyatt but this upcoming year I’m getting to travel in the Fall to SE Asia and in the early Spring to the US. It’s my way of celebrating my 50th birthday. It would be nice to do it in some style and try some of the hotels I read so much about on Boarding Area! Saying that, I’d probably get over excited and bankrupt myself….

  • I would love to use it at the Park Hyatt Vienna and enjoy the world of classical music in this lovely city!

  • Just retired from over 40 years as a special ed teacher and, even though my husband has 2 more years til retirement, he has given me his blessing to travel for the rest of the year. First stop is New York City as I LOVE the theater, so perhaps the Andaz 5th Avenue. Also going to Chicago and Minneapolis in the summer to escape the heat here in Saint Louis. Then would love to hit the beach somewhere and end the year for the holidays in Scottsdale.

  • Going to use it at your favorite Hyatt even though they already treat us like kings 😉

  • Thanks for your great work to help us mazimize our travel opportunities. If I won, I would use it to treat my niece to a trip to New York city with the additional amenities of Globalist at the already fab Hyatt. She has been so kind to me with travel perks that I would love to be able to repay her!

  • I find Hyatt status to be very valuable in Asia. I’d like to visit GH Hong Kong again – awesome value with status.

  • I would use this status to make my international marathon adventures better by upgrading my overnight accommodations.

  • I’m planning a trip to Europe next year with my family of 5, and I’ve been saving miles for years for the trip. The vacation is the same that my father planned for my family when I was I high school before he suddenly passed. Rome, Athens, and London. Globalist would make planning much easier and the trip more enjoyable, hopefully an upgrade somewhere along the way. It will be a trip that means the world to me regardless, but Globalist would be the cherry on top.

  • As much as the suites seem fancy and aspirational (upgraded via Globalist perks), I enjoy the standard rooms and Hyatt’s hospitality just as much. The benefits I am looking forward to are complimentary breakfast and some room ‘enhancement’ which doesn’t have to confirm into suites. Bonus points would help to!

  • I’ve never had top tier hotel status. It certainly would be pretty fantastic to try out. I’m planning on an epic Pacific Northwest and California trips these next few months to visit some friends and family. All those perks that come with that status would be awesome to try out. Love the Hyatt brand so much.

  • Will make a world of difference to my 12 day holiday with my partner in Hawaii and the West Coast

  • I love Hyatt but lost my elite status this past year due to a job lost. Now that I have gotten a new job with heavy travel obligations, I would love to go back to staying at Hyatts (with some status). Many thanks for the giveaway opportunity

  • Would love Hyatt status since we are staying at Park Hyatt New York using our Chase CC free nights to celebrate our anniversary! Would love to take advantage of free breakfast, parking, late check out to make it an extra special weekend!

  • Really, is there anything better than late-checkout to set you in a better mood for leaving a relaxing stay at a Hyatt?

  • Just the thought of having top status @ Hyatt makes me giddy. To me the best part of a hotel stay is breakfast & lounge access. Not having to burn Hyatt points for lounge access would be awesome. Fingers crossed.

  • It would be great to get a free breakfast at Hyatt Recency Hakone as part of the status perks.

  • Would LOVE to get Hyatt globalist to help defray the costs of the exciting trip I have planned to surprise my boyfriend for a big birthday. Planning on staying at grand Hyatt Hong Kong, Tokyo, and andaz Maui. Having globalist would make this surprise even more amazing. Please pick me!!!! Thank you 🙂

  • Would so appreciate the chance to reward my daughter with special treats when we stay at the Hyatt in New York in August, It would be a small, but a most grateful “thanks” for her constant help with my pending hip surgery in May. I am 75 years old and finding surprises for my only, and wonderful, daughter is my life’s quest!!!!!!

  • Such a nice prize. I’d love to enjoy it on my stay next month at the Hyatt Sharm El Sheikh.

  • I’d like to receive this status because Hyatt’s customers receive great treatment, specially related to the perks of top tiers, such as free breakfast and late checkout at 4 p.m.

  • Thank you in advance for offering up Hyatt Globalist Status. I really hope I win. I had Hyatt Diamond status for three years right before I retired, but alas no more. It was my favourite top tier status among all the major hotel chains. My husband and I are selling our home and hitting the road for the next year. Yes, we are going to be like “Lucky” and be without an actual place to live. Top tier Hyatt status will go a long way in the number of stays we have at Hyatt and making the next year fun. With status this year, we’d likely earn status the good old fashioned way with 60 nights or more for next year!

  • I’m a utilities govt employee, but this travel hacking hobby has allowed my kids to see more things than I ever did in my first 40 years. Having this Hyatt status would take things to the next level. I would love to have Hyatt Globalist for a trip to the Andaz Papagayo. Being in a remote location and getting a big local breakfast is a huge perk. The other great perk is being able to gift the status to my family. My siblings travel a lot for work and it would be nice to use the lounges to catch up.

  • Our little family of four would LOVE having this top tier globalist status! We love Hyatt hotels because they make perfect sense for our family. Especially looking forward to an upcoming stay at Hyatt Hill Country in San Antonio.

  • Hyatt Globalist would help lots with our 5th wedding anniversary to Hong Kong and Sydney. We were planning to stay at the Hyatts in both cities.

  • I am a self-employed road warrior who often is away at multiple hotels for weeks at a time, not even counting the leisure trips I take with my spouse. I have numerous Hyatt stays coming up for work, as well as several award stays for leisure with my now-retired mother in May at Park Hyatt properties in Sydney and Melbourne, and in October in Vienna. Having Globalist status obviously would save me a lot of money on breakfasts, as well as give me the chance to get my rooms earlier in the day. It also allows me the chance for upgrades, especially when at the nicer hotels with my mother. Either way, thanks for the chance!

  • I have always been known to have an eye for Luxury, but off late I have been concentrating more on Marriott and SPG hotels given the buyout by Marriott and interesting opportunities offered. I have always loved Hyatt brand of hotels and I would want to take my fiance on a pre-honeymoon to Andaz Maui – not that we won’t go without the Globalist status but we will just be able to enjoy to the fullest. We have always been heavy spenders on luxury and give the Globalist status, we would be able to visit some top-category Hyatt hotels including Park Hyatt in Tokyo for our honeymoon and have some upgrades without breaking the bank.

  • As someone that travels frequently for work I find value in hotel perks that translate to an enjoyable stay with my family. If we won the upgraded Hyatt status, Hands down our favorite perk (I have 4 kids) is free breakfast. We would probably turn down extra square footage for food. That’s just how we roll! Thanks for the great giveaway.

  • My current job is very stressful, although I love it. I’m an urban school district superintendent in one of the states with the lowest education funding and lowest teacher pay in the nation. We’re in a situation where things have become so dire with our funding that I have announced that we may have to close multiple schools for the second year in a row, increase class sizes again, cancel textbook purchases, make more cuts to the arts & athletics, etc. We recently held a series of community meetings for people to give input on the next round of budget cuts, and hundreds of people came out every night to line up yell at me on the microphone while the media filmed it all and put it on the news every night. People know that I didn’t cause the funding crisis in our state, but I take the brunt of their anger because I am the face of schools for our city.

I currently do not have plans for a summer vacation because my life has been so consumed with figuring out how to cut millions more from our already starved school district budget, but it would be heavenly to be able to get away for a few days this summer to stay on a beach somewhere in a nice hotel with the special perks that come along with Globalist status like a chance at a possible room upgrade and access to a lounge with free breakfast and snacks at night. Ahhh… just imagining my feet up, looking out into the ocean with a good book and cold beverage is starting to bring my blood pressure down already!

  • Will be proposing to my girlfriend later this year (at the Grand Hyatt HK or the Hyatt Regency TST in HK if it goes according to plan), and hopefully we will be able to make it to Hawaii for our honeymoon! We don’t get many cheap Hyatts here in Asia to be able to rack up status and elite nights, so we would love to be able to use those Hyatt Globalist benefits to make for a memorable year!

  • My wife and I are expecting our first kid in the Fall. We have a couple of trips planned for Florida and a babymoon in Australia in the summer. We’re planning on staying at 4 different Hyatt properties there, including one which usually charges resort fees.

We’d love to have Globalist status to get those waived, but most importantly, to have club lounge access for the free food! My wife will be hangry and needing for noourishment (for two!).

  • My twin brother and I have never been outside of North America and are very much looking forward to our visit to the Park Hyatt Sydney and the Grand Hyatt Melbourne next month. It would be so awesome to be able to try the breakfast buffet at the Park Hyatt!!

  • As a marathon runner that loves racecations, I would use Hyatt Globalist status to add to the comfort prior to the race. I really like the room upgrades, premium internet and the late checkout! Nothing like having to drive home without a shower after running 26.2!

  • I’m taking my parents for their second honeymoon to the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach and the Hyatt Regency Maui next month. They get stressed out when traveling (that’s why I’m booking and paying for the trip, so they can relax!) so it would be great to let them know that things like waived resort fees, free parking, and free breakfast are included as a Globalist benefit not just for my room, but via Guest of Honor to their room as well.

  • My beautiful wife and I are heading to Paris in September to experience our 50th wedding anniverary in the City of Lights. Staying in the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome with upgrades and breakfast would add the supreme moments to our special celebration.

  • Heading to London this summer and would love to have some status while staying at the Andaz Liverpool. I don’t have anything really monumental to celebrate, unlike some of the other posters. It would be great to have for the breakfast and reception amenities though. Wish Hyatt had a larger footprint in more locations, but then it wouldn’t probably be the Hyatt I like to stay at.

  • I would love to have Hyatt Globalist status because we’re usually traveling with our two-year-old daughter, and having the suite upgrades is such a huge benefit so that we can put her in a separate room from us and not have to worry about waking her up by making the slightest noise!

  • I have up coming stay at the Andaz Tokyo for two night. It is the first time I will make a trip with my sister. Since I live in US and both of us are raising children, we haven’t had time to see each other over ten years. She is a single mom and never spend money and time for herself. So, I booked Andaz Tokyo for our stay using my points to seleblate both of our daughters are doing great after they graduate high school. Her daughter is in second year to be a teacher in Nagoya Japan and my daughter is majoring film and photographs in college in U S. I would love to access club lounge to have a breakfast looking over the Tokyo Tower!!!! It would be a dream stay for us!!!!

  • I will travel to Europe in the Fall with my wife and teen daughter and would use WOH Globalist status to enhance our stays in Paris. The possibility of upgrades and breakfast benefits will make the trip more enjoyable. Thank you.

  • We have some Australia travel coming up, have book at other properties but would be willing to switch if I win the contest. Thank you for the opportunity!

  • I have been reading your blog and following your advice.. collecting miles as my parents will turn 65 years this year and I am giving them a 2 almost 3 months vacation around the world. Of course we don’t have status with hyatt and there are some amazing properties that I’m planing for them to stay so this status will make their trip an unforgettable experience so it will be great if you can take part of this once in a life time trip gift to them.

    Best,

    Jose

  • Why do some people never win anything in the lotto? I am one of them. Once I entered a raffle draw. There were only 3 people showed up and there were two prizes. I was one of the 3 and I still did not win anything! That’s my luck:). Anyhow, we are a family of 4 with kids and 4 trips coming up this year including London, Maui, New York & Las Vegas. I have enough Hyatt points to book Hyatt hotel/resort all of the places but I do not have any status with Hyatt. Just trying my luck here. This status will give us an ultimate experience!! Thank you for the opportunity!

  • I have no idea what globalist status is but if I had the status I would use it to find out what it’s all about.

    And yes, I’m serious.

  • Hyatt is my favorite hotel chain and I would love to be able to enjoy all the benefits and find out what it means to travel in luxury style! 🙂

  • We had a complimentary lounge access 3 years ago at the Hyatt Singapore would love to stay there again with the Globalist status.

  • I’d like Globalist for stays at my favorite hotels…Andaz Amsterdam, Hyatt TST (Hong Kong), among others….oh, and for the breakfast!

  • Take my wife to Europe and stay at the PH Vienna, PH Zurich, and PH Milan during a 3 week road trip.

  • Am taking the family to the UK this Summer. A holiday for them and a big birthday celebration for myself with friends the same age. Points were saved and used for flights, but with no credit cards for hotel status in Asia this would be a great way to see how the other half stays. Would also make the smaller family holidays around Asia a bit more special.

  • Would love to relive some of the old Diamond benefits at Grand Hyatt Tokyo and Taipei with my parents this summer!

  • I’m planing a birthday trip for my girlfriend, and myself. We will be staying at the Hyatt Regency Hakone in Japan for part of our trip. This give away could make our trip that much more amazing!

  • Wow, there are a lot of great plans!

If I won the Globalist status I’d take my family to the Kauai Hyatt in Poipu. We once went there with points and loved it, but we haven’t made it back. With the opportunity to use the Club Lounge and the chance to enjoy a beautiful room, we’d see if there’s a good time to get a Kamaiana fare and go for it! My wife and I are teachers, so if everything worked out, we could enjoy a summer weekend there. Mahalo for the chance!

  • I travel monthly to one or more of the following cities, NYC, Seattle, Atlanta, Miami and LA for work. I often stay at Hyatt properties when visiting these locations. The Globalist status would provide further value in choosing to stay at Hyatt properties due to free breakfast and free parking. The potential for suite upgrades would also be great when I have family and friends who come along for a visit.

  • Wow so many comments for you to read through and choose from – so I’ll keep mine short.
My Hilton Diamond status just expired. I actively book in the chain where I have status as I’m a sucker for an upgrade and lounge access. I’d be happy to switch to Hyatt for my travels. And it would make a nice addition to my (nowhere near as popular as yours) travel blog http://www.bugadvisor.com

  • We’d use it for club lounge access and room upgrades as a traveling family of four

  • I travel a lot, and my kids hear about the travels but don’t get to go with me. They love to hear about the travels, and draw pictures of me while I’m away, imagining the world their dad visits. I’d love to be able to take my son and daughter away on a trip to Europe, and let them see how wide and amazing the world is, and how hospitable and wonderful the people are across the globe.

  • Me and my wife’s 25 anniversary is coming up and I would love to surprise her by taking her to Park Hyatt Paris Vendome because it’s a romantic city and perfect for our anniversary! With the Globalist status, it would be awesome since most likely I can get a room upgrade to surprise her even more, this would be a memorable event in our life.

  • Hmmm…. Where do I begin! With two little ones under the age of 7, the the extra space from the Diamond Suite Upgrades would be a huge benefit for our family vacations. We are dreaming/planning to get our kids to explore Europe (Poland, Spain, England, France, Italy) since we were born and raised in Europe , to visit family and get them immersed in culture and languages. . Since there are Hyatts in our targets, we would be able to stay there, utilize lounge privileges, and hopefully get a few suite upgrades. . This would really help! Hyatt Globalist status would be game changer!Thank you so much for the chance and for the consideration.

  • Hi Charlie,
Thank you for this opportunity! I’ve never stayed at a Hyatt property, but roughly 30 times a year I overlook the Hyatt Regency in Cologne, Germany from my hotel, and one day I have to try it out! It would be pretty amazing to do so as a Globalist member 🙂

  • I will thank my parents for everything they have done for me and my sister. I’ll send them in the trip to Mexico. I want them to stay at one of the hotels in Hayatt.

  • I’m a single mom and have finally saved enough points/miles to take my boys to Australia this May. We will be staying at the Park Hyatt Sydney! Super excited and it would be awesome to have globalist status for our trip!!

  • I want to be called a Globalist every time I check into a hotel. It will make me feel like I am conquering the globe, one city at a time. Also, the free breakfast and room upgrades will help on a tight company budget.

  • I love reading your blog with my morning coffee! I would love to win Globilist status!

  • I have confirmed reservations including the Park Hyatt New York. While sometimes the Globalist status helps keep costs under control because I have 4 kids, there are other times it provides the break that is so needed for a tired couple on our kid free getaway!

    Thank you for your consideration.

  • What a cool giveaway! I echo a lot of commenters when I say I would use the status at at aspirational destination like the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome with my wife. We have 2 young kids and so have not been able to travel as much as we would like. Taking my wife to see Paris or taking the kids to a place like the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort would be excellent ways to utilize the Globalist status.

  • We are going to Vienna in September. If I had Globalist status, we would book a room at the Park Hyatt Vienna, instead of the Hilton Vienna Plaza. Free breakfast can add up quickly for 2 people!

  • I would use the Globalist Status in September in Hawaii. My wife and I are recently retired and making our first trip to Hawaii, hitting Oahu, Kauai and Hawaii (the Big Island). We have stay booked at a Hyatt in Waikiki and would love to be Globalist and use the benefits which come with it during our stay. It would make it so memorable!

  • Globalist status would make me look like a rockstar in my kids eyes. Also my cats would appreciate the additional toys they would receive with the money I saved on breakfast

  • Revenge. My soon to be x-wife has enjoyed my card based mileage/point hobby for years, enjoying the occasional business class flight or upgraded hotel room. She once joked after a series of long-hauls in business class that she wouldn’t be able to fly economy ever again. I took care of the vacation planning, she focused on her career. I cared for the kids, she cared for her career. And recently, she decided to leave me for one of our mutual friends.

I can see that doing the majority of childcare for our 3 children could be seen by some as emasculating but I thought she was above that. On the bright side, shared custody will give me the opportunity to take trips that would have been untenable with kids in tow, and that is exactly my plan.

I’m currently planning a month long trip to Asia, a shared dream of both of ours, with two aims: Part 1, Emotional healing; and Part 2, to rub in her face the splendor of what she won’t be able to experience (without paying full ticket price, that is) and missed out on. Hyatt Globalist would make the trip all the more exotic, rejuvenating and help me to exact the revenge she deserves.

  • My wife and I are finally taking our honeymoon after a three year delay. After the wedding wiped us out financially, we had neither the time nor the money for a honeymoon. Then, we discovered the miracle of credit card rewards. After assiduously churning and saving (each of us has over the last two years been through a Chase Sapphire Preferred and a Hyatt Visa; I also got a Chase Sapphire Reserve and she got a Marriott Visa), we finally put together the points for our long-awaited trip — 6 nights at the Park Hyatt Paris, 6 nights at the Grand Hyatt Cannes, and three nights in the Grosvenor House in London (not a Hyatt), so that’s twelve nights in Hyatts all told.

I know that this trip will already be the greatest experience of our life, and I don’t think we’ll ever find the time and money to do something like this again. Having Hyatt status would probably kick the trip up to the magical level. We’ve heard such rave reviews about the breakfast at the Park Hyatt in Paris, but 50 euros each is as much as we can budget to spend on food all day long (other than the one day when we’ve decided to go all out and dine at the Jules Verne restaurant atop the Eiffel Tower). Throw in the possibility on an upgrade and the lounge access in Cannes and I think the status would be a real game changer.

We’re going to have the time of our life either way, so I completely understand if you want to give the status to someone who will be spending more nights in Hyatts and get more value out of it, but please do consider us.

  • I would love to have Globalist status with Hyatt, to enjoy a new chain I’ve barely stayed with, to benefit from the lounge access, to make that vacation a little super extra special, and impress my travel companion!

  • Charlie, first Thank You for amazing work on AMEX deals and you are one of the few who details and publishes which can be understood by even novices.

I have a three day stopover at Hongkong on July 27-30 to celebrate marriage anniversary at Grand Hyatt.

Getting Harbor view with upgrade will make it even more memorable with Kid.

  • To plan a family vacation to south and east Asia where many top Hyatt hotels are located! A Globalist will help for sure!

  • My wife and I want to plan a trip to Cancun and stay at the Hyatt Zilara with 3 other couples. We all have not had a vacation in a long time and we would love to go with status in tow! Thanks for considering!

  • My husband-to-be and I are spending our 12-night honeymoon in October at the Park Hyatt Paris and Park Hyatt Mallorca (all on points, thanks to bloggers like you!). The late checkout, free breakfast, and potential suite upgrades provided by Globalist status would make what is sure to be the trip of a lifetime even more special!

    Thanks for your consideration!

  • Travel with a family is a joy and a challenge in itself. Trying to get the kids ready in the morning added another 30 minutes on top of everything else that we do. If by having a bit of extra room to get everyone ready and a chance to stop by the lounge for that “quick breakfast” in the morning, then it will help all of us getting to our activities a bit quicker. Thanks for considering. Destination is not as important as spending the time together with family, whether it’s in a tropical island or a weekend visit to the in-laws. Thank you for your consideration!

  • I graduate law school in 2 weeks. Though my number one passion is travel it has been so limited the past 3 years due to school. I’m planning an epic celebratory trip that would take me across the US to Europe to the ME to SE Asia and the down to Aus (haven’t decided if I’m doing India as well).
The status would be amazing to have has I’m planning to stay in PH NYC, PH Milan, Grand Hyatt Muscat, PH Bangkok, PH Siem Reap, and PH Saigon. I would stay in PH Sydney (which I have before) but just too much of a burn cash wise and points wise.
Nevertheless, would truly appreciate the status and feel like I would maximize the heck out of it!
    Thanks for the giveaway bud

  • I will be very simple in my reply. I’m a cheap-ass. Yep, I will admit it and my wife is well aware of my frugal nature. That said my wife has had one taste of Diamond treatment a couple years back on a trip we took and she could not believe it and has talked about it forever now. She finally understood my new love for rewards cards and what hotel status was.

In two months it is my 20th wedding anniversary and it would be amazing to surprise my wife with Globalist/Diamond treatment one more time. I will never, ever attain status on my own so my only hope is status upgrades and challenges and the like hence my interest in this giveaway. I may not have any money, but with (gifted) status I can at least get my wife and I treated as if I do! (Which honestly makes it all that much more enjoyable as we are slightly like fish out of water in the fancy places. Should have seen us trying to use the lounge at our first Hyatt stay, it’s embarrassing but funny with us being in awe of the free food and drinks and trying to be casual about it like we were not dumb yokels or something) Thanks for your consideration at least, and whoever gets this enjoy it!

  • Hope I could win the status. Since I wish I can bring my wife and 3-year daughter to Hawaii someday this year, that would be a lot of saving as being the middle class household if we have the hotel elite status.

  • I travel for work and normally stay at Hilton or Marriott properties, but Hyatt Globalist status would certainly change that.

  • Well what can I say, who wouldn’t enjoy globalist status right? For me it would not only open up the door to even more luxurious stays at Hyatt but maybe even push me to start blogging seriously. I had some great stays at Marriott and Hyatt hotels the last couple of months and always kept a good camera handy to document my trip. And with a reservation at the Park Hyatt Bangkok set for the opening date later this year, status would make that trip even sweeter and perhaps my little trip reports more complete.

  • We’re a young family of four and we take 3-4 trips per year, all on points and miles, of course. Globalist status would greatly benefit us due to the free breakfast and the potential for suite upgrades. The late checkout doesn’t hurt either, especially with young children. Thank you for your consideration.

  • I’m going to take a trip around the world on my next vacation by staying only at Hyatt hotels and proving that this is possible.

  • I would use the globalist status to get a room upgrade at Hyatt Zilara Cancun next month and at the Hyatt Andaz Papagayo in Costa Rica during Christmas time:)

  • points and miles bug hit me when I accidentally bumped into your blog a year ago. I even got a southwest companion pass with your ideas. Now only if i could get a hyatt status to help me with my travels for this year and next year, it would be the perfect trifecta 🙂

  • My wife and I are taking a dream trip to Dubai, Australia and New Zealand that we had to reschedule when she got pregnant last year. We would LOVE to do this to make our trip with our little guy easier!
