DOT Says No Super Cheap United Premium Cabin Tickets

United had a problem with their currency conversion (we can at least put the blame on United for that instead of following United’s lead of blaming a third-party – their site, their problem) that saw thousands of business and first class tickets sold for a fraction of what they normally go for. The DOT ruling came out that they were not going to hold United to the error in currency, which was expected. However, the language they chose to make that ruling does not bode well for future errors or bookings that are less obvious than this one.

North Korea To Not Allow Foreigners In the Pyongyang Marathon

North Korea opened up the Pyongyang Marathon last year to foreign amateur runners for the first time and over 500 runners signed up for it this year only to be told this week that North Korea would not be issuing the visas necessary for travel. It is surely a shame for the runners that had planned on running and the tour groups that had a lot of business tied up with those running tours.

The new IHG Pointbreaks list is out for cheap hotel rooms. Some of these hotels may work as options for upcoming trips. I also listed the notable hotels on the list.

Singapore Airlines Fuel Surcharges On Awards Are Now Cheaper!

Singapore Airlines has some amazing premium cabins and they are very stingy about releasing award space on those planes to their partners. So, it is a great help that they have reduced fuel surcharges on award tickets that will make booking such cabins just a little bit cheaper.
