The Best Offer For The Wyndham Credit Card

Here is where you can find the best offer for the Wyndham credit card. The best offer is not available on Wyndham’s home page or most other places so make sure you get the best deal!

The credit card space for travel can be crowded and noisy. Sometimes, in the midst of that noise, we can overlook credit card offers and end up applying for the lower of two offers (because it is the public offer on the front page of the host site or because the affiliate offers are for the lower offer). In writing another post for later, I remembered where to find this offer and thought it would be a good reminder for those who want the best offer for the Wyndham credit card. This offer is good for 3 free nights at Wyndham hotels!

The Best Offer For The Wyndham Credit Card

Last year, Wyndham relaunched their reward program and made every hotel cost a flat rate in points – 15,000 points. That is everything from their high end properties to their lowest end like some Howard Johnson motels. In addition, they also brought a new part called Go Fast to their redemption options. This allows you to use 3,000 points and some cash to secure a room.

When they relaunched their credit card, they had the better offer available for a while but have since replaced it with an inferior offer – on their home page and in the affiliate channels. Here is the best offer for the Wyndham credit card.

The Signature Card Offer

Wyndham

When this card was released last April, it took the anniversary bonus from 5,500 points to 15,000 points – another free night. With the current offer, they have dropped it down again to 6,000 points for the annual fee of $69. While not a free night, it will give you enough points for 2 nights with their Go Fast redemptions.

The sign-up bonus on the Signature card stays the same, 30,000 points after first purchase. And, you will receive another 15,000 points after spending $1,000 in 90 days. That makes for a total of 45,000 points after spending $1,000 in 90 days. That equates to 3 free nights with their new program this year.

  • Earn 30,000 bonus points after your first purchase. Plus, earn an additional 15,000 bonus points after you spend $1,000 on purchases within the first 90 days of account opening
  • Earn 5 points per $1 spent on every participating hotel stay
  • Earn 2 points per $1 spent on purchases everywhere else
  • Earn 6,000 Bonus Points after your account anniversary every year
  • $69 annual fee

The Platinum Card Offer

wyndham rewards platinum card link 15,000 Points + 3,000 Points after spending $1,000 in 90 days

The Platinum card saw the worst change – it used to be 15,000 points after first purchase and another 15,000 points after spending $1,000 in 90 days. That second bonus has dropped to only 3,000 points after spending $1,000 in 90 days. Certainly not as good as before and that would change it for me as a decision whether to get that card or not. Still, with no annual fee, it is a good card to move down to after your first year with the Signature card – but only if you wanted to earn Wyndham points as there is no anniversary bonus on this card.

  • Earn 15,000 bonus points after your first purchase. Plus, earn an additional 3,000 bonus points after you spend $1,000 on purchases within the first 90 days of account opening.
  • Earn 3 points per $1 spent on every participating hotel stay
  • Earn 2 points per $1 spent on purchases everywhere else
  • No annual fee

Summary

While it has been some time since I have last stayed at a Wyndham property, this card offer is pretty good. Getting three free nights at even high end properties as part of a credit card offer is great! This card is good if you want to take advantage of the 3 free nights a higher end properties. If you want to/typically stay at Howard Johnsons, I would just pay cash or use Priceline as this card is certainly not the best for the lower tier brands.

  • I’m a big fan of this card, as the 2 points/$1 make it easy to get a room in a top-flight hotel. I used the points for four nights on Kauai (no longer available) and will redeem two more for staying at the Pittsburgh Wyndham when I do that city’s marathon.

    • @Frank, Daily Getaways on Monday (?) is selling 15K points for $150. Basically $150 a night at any wyndham property.
