Welcome back to our Sunday Summary Series where we review the stories that were covered throughout the week.

Sunday Summary

Sorry, don’t know what happened again this weekend except it got away from me very quickly! Here is your Sunday Summary (Monday edition). Thanks for checking in!

Marathon Maniac Monday

This was the introduction to a new series that I will be writing for Marathon Maniacs – that rare breed of runner for whom running one marathon a season is not enough! There is a lot of training that goes into running marathons in a tight time frame – believe it or not, there is a lot of planning and travel logistics as well! This series will work to help you plan your own multiple marathon attempts as well as help you with the travel involved. When done right, it can be a lot of fun!

Two Free Weekend Days With Avis

On Monday, a code was circulated that allowed you to get two free weekend days on a rental from Avis. This code could be used by itself for two free days or as part of a longer rental. It had some amazing possibilities! BUT, it did not last as Avis cancelled all the reservations with this code.

How to Celebrate Turning 31!

On Tuesday, I turned 31! What else would a runner do on a milestone birthday like that but run a 50K (31 miles)! I ended up doing it on my treadmill and had a lot of fun that day!

Tuesday Tools and Tips

Yet another beginning to another series – Tuesday Tools and Tips. This series will focus on the traveler and runner with little tools and tips that will help make each activity a little easier. This past week, we looked at Dailymile – a wonderful (free) online training log that you can share with friends.

Avis Reservations Cancelled

Avis came down on the coupon code and cancelled all of the reservations made with it. They claimed it was a coupon that came with a paper certificate for American Express Platinum holds. Guess what, I am an Amex Plat holder and got cancelled as well! Oh well, on to the next deal!

Best Point Earning for the Runner – Rosetta Stone

We continued in our series on the Best Point Earning for the Runner with a little slant this week as we looked at the awesome deals available from Rosetta Stone (one of my favorite language-learning programs) and how to maximize that with points (could potentially earn almost a one-way, short-haul ticket on American Airlines with one purchase from Rosetta Stone!). – UPDATE – Apparently the up to 35% off through affiliate offer is good through April 16 so you still have time to take advantage of this!
