Sunday Summary

Travel Deals: GREAT Business Class Prices to South America

LAN Airlines and American Airlines had some unbelievable fares (in business class!) to various cities throughout South America. That is a great price to South America on an economy ticket (I went to Punta Arenas, Chile 7 years ago for around $1,000 in economy) yet this was business class! Quite a sale!

Dubai Marathon Trip – The Dubai Marathon (Part 8)

FINALLY, we arrived at the marathon portion of the trip. I had many photos of the course and some details of the marathon itself as well as my analysis of the event as a whole. It was a great race! I just wish I didn’t have foot problems during it! 🙁

Devaluation of Hotel Points

Starwood, Marriott, and Hilton (to name three big ones) devalued a lot of their points for award nights within the space of a few weeks. While it is unfortunate for those who want to stay in the higher tier properties, it actually was not too bad for some of the mid-tier, low-tier properties.

Dubai Marathon Trip – Emirates First Class Lounge (Part 9)

After the marathon, I headed to the airport for one of the great flight/ground experiences. Emirates is an incredible airline and they are obviously doing their best to impress. They impressed this traveler!

Travel Deal: JetBlue – Spring Later Sale

JetBlue had a 1 day sale of 15% and 20% off of their fares. There were some pretty good deals available during this! Hopefully, some of you were able to take advantage of it!

Travel Deal: 50000 Membership Reward Offer

Through creditcards.com, there were matched offers for everyone, the best was the American Express Premier Rewards Gold card with 50,000 Membership Reward point bonus. That is an incredible bonus! This is one of the reasons you should check the site all the time! 🙂

Dubai Marathon Trip – Emirates First Class (Part 10)

This was one of the flights I looked the most forward to – Emirates First Class was amazing! Make sure you look at the different photos of the incredible suites!

Dubai Marathon Trip – Paris and British Airways (Part 11)

This had been an unexpected part because of weather and how British Airways handled it for me. Things ended up working out ok!

Best Point Earning for the Runner – UR Edition

This was the start of a new series – Best Point Earning for the Runner. I will use this series to show the various opportunities to earn huge mile bonuses while shopping for your running gear. There are some incredible deals and ways to really maximize points. This first part focused on the great opportunities available with the Ultimate Rewards Mall.

Junk Mail Saturday

This Saturday actually did not have any “junk” mail so I used it to help show you how to start getting some good American Express “junk” mail. Make sure you check it out!

Dubai Marathon Trip – Hilton Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport Hotel (Part 12)

This was a very nice airport hotel in Paris. It was an incredible deal, especially since I got it free courtesy of British Airways and the weather conditions. If you are transiting through Paris CDG airport, this is a great possibility.

Thanks for following along this week! Hopefully you will find some things that will help you in your running travels!
