Book with this latest Southwest sale for international destinations to fly for as cheap as $59 or 2,100 points! Grab some warm weather destinations for fall now.

Yesterday, I wrote about the latest Southwest sale on domestic flights and I wanted to also let you know that there is a sale going on now for international destinations as well. This sale does not stretch out as far as the domestic one but it is still far enough (December) that you can lock in some nice flights to some warmer destinations once the cold weather starts moving in. I know it is August but the colder weather will be here (or, “there” depending on where you live!) before you know it!

Sale Details:

  • 21-day advance purchase required.
  • Book from August 1 through August 3, 2017, 11:59 p.m. in the respective time zone of the originating city.
  • Travel: International travel valid August 22 through December 13, 2017.
  • Blackout Dates: September 1-2, November 18-20, 2017; sale fares from international destinations blacked out September 5-6 & November 28, 2017.

There are a bunch of destinations available, especially in the low $100s for a one way ticket. Remember, if you book with points, you will be paying more for taxes and fees. But, they will still be some cheap tickets!

Don’t forget that this is one of those great ways to put your Companion Pass to use! Book a great trip and bring someone along while just paying the taxes and fees.Southwest sale for international

Use Points For Better Value!

I’m seeing some great point redemption values – even above 2 cents per point! International destinations can often be a great way to get better point value out of Southwest, something that some people don’t realize since many assume the points are at a firm 1.5 cents per point. Even on some of these cheaper routes, I was seeing rates of 2.4 cents per point. That is a great redemption value for Southwest points!
