Man Leads Cops On Chase Through The Marathon

Now, this is something that would have really made my heart rate jack up a bit!

Sunday’s Chicago Marathon saw a bandit (a runner who did not register for the race but runs in the race) of a different style take to the streets. A 29-year old man who had in his possession 10 capsules of a controlled substance led the police on a chase before trying to blend in with the marathon runners. The cops caught up with him and arrested him. The charges not only are for the controlled substance but also include endangering the welfare of the runners on the course.

What I am wondering is, what were the marathoners thinking that were in the vicinity of this guy when he was arrested by the police? If I was nearby at the time, I would have been quite shocked and wondered what this guy did? Any of you that ran the marathon Sunday, did you see this?
