I wrote the other day about finding a deal on prepaid gift cards at Office Max (which I used my Chase INK Bold to purchase thereby earning 5 points per dollar in my Ultimate Reward account).
Today, I was back in there because I had to purchase some stuff (and pick up some more cards!). I thought I would ask if they had postage stamps since I had to buy a bunch for a mass mailing we are doing and the Post Office was closed. The manager said he could get them for me out of their safe and asked how many I wanted. He blinked a little at the 30 booklets response, but he was able to get them! So, that meant I was able to get almost another 1500 Ultimate Reward points instead of the sub-300 I would have received had I bought them at the Post Office.
I realize not everyone needs to buy that many stamps, but if you send out a lot of letters (like around Christmas) consider buying your stamps at an office supply store with your Chase INK Bold card to receive 5 points per dollar on those stamps! I am looking forward to getting my gift cards for people from there as well. Use a little creativity with your shopping to really maximize your point totals!
