If you have been waiting, or maybe you just forgot, today is the last day to match status with Hilton – all the way up to Diamond status! Here is how to do it quickly and simply.

Last Chance To Match Up To Hilton Diamond Status

Hilton Diamond

When Hilton first announced the match program, they wanted you to e-mail them with your information to get matched (which I did). After that, they simplified the process and actually setup a website to attract status matches. With this, it is super easy to apply for your match and get your Hilton status!

What To Do

All you need to do is to go to this website – Hilton status match – and include the following information:

  • Name
  • E-Mail Address
  • Hilton Account Number
  • Program you are matching from
    • Choice Privileges
    • Hyatt Gold Passport
    • IHG Rewards Club
    • Marriott Rewards
    • Starwood Preferred Guest
    • Other
  • The Status Level you have with the other program
  • A jpg of your statement showing your status or status card

That is it! Some people have reported hearing back within hours while others have waited a couple of weeks. In my case, it was just a few days.

They are matching to Hilton Silver, Gold, and Diamond depending on the status you have with the other program. I used my Hyatt Diamond status to match to Hilton Diamond. If you have the IHG credit card (which carries IHG Platinum), you may be able to get matched up to Diamond. I have also heard of them matching Accor Platinum (“Other”) to Diamond as well. This status has been available on and off without having to do anything other than signing up for it – which I did a couple of years ago and I still have it.

If you do not have status, remember that it is very easy to get Hilton Gold (which I consider to be the best of mid-tier status levels). You can get it by holding the following cards:

  • Citi Hilton Reserve
  • Amex Hilton Surpass
  • Amex Platinum (any flavor) – you will need to contact them to get it setup with Hilton

In my case, it is already working in Hilton’s favor as I booked a couple of stays this year with Hilton that I would not otherwise have booked. I am looking forward to trying out my new Hilton Diamond status and hopefully you will be able to as well!
