Elite Status

JetBlue Mosaic Status – Finally Received

a blue and white card
Written by Charlie

I wrote a couple of months ago about JetBlue offering status matches for their Mosaic status to elite members of various airlines. I had matched my Delta status to it and received notice of acceptance of the status offer a couple of weeks later. My wife had matched her Southwest Companion Pass to it (which, strangely enough, is acceptable).

JetBlue Mosaic

Time has gone by and she never received notice of acceptance of her status for the match. It really wasn’t that crucial for us anymore since I had mine, but I was still curious to see what would happen as a data point for the Southwest match. Well, her status envelope for Mosaic finally arrived in the mail today! There was no e-mail that it was coming and her account, as of the other day, did not reflect Mosaic status.

So, if you are still waiting, do not lose hope! It may come yet! How many of you have applied for the match and are currently waiting?

  • I matched back in April from my Skymiles Plat status. I got emails back within a week or so, but when I went to take my first flight it wasnt in my profile. I had to call and they sorted it out. I had never flown JetBlue but I really liked the experience and I have a few upcoming flights. Not sure I will make the challenge.

The one turn off is I REALLY wish they would allow for “Even More Room” at check in for Mosaic members. I completely understand at booking because it is a revenue generator for them, but if the seats are going to go out empty or with non status individuals because those are the only seats left, why not give them to your status flyers. Im my opinion this keeps away a lot of business travelers.

    • That was my thought as well. I am not sure what the numbers look like for Mosaic members on flights, but I would still think there would be a way (fare cost, time of booking, etc) that they could use to upgrade Mosaic members to those seats. It would be a great addition to the program and also, as you say, fill those seats.
