IHG PointBreaks For Travel Through November 30 Now Live

Here it is – the next edition of PointBreaks for the next two months! This list is valid for stays from September 29 – November 30. These hotels are bookable for only 5,000 points per night and they are easily the best award value in hotel programs today.

IHG PointBreaks List

The following hotels are bookable now for stays from today (September 29th) through November 30th. Obviously, the better value hotels are going to go first, so get booking! Just remember that each member is limited to two reservations per property, so don’t be squatting! :)

Getting the points

There are a variety of ways to get the points necessary for PointBreak hotels. The one thing that I would only do as a last resort is to use Ultimate Rewards. Yes, these hotels are a fantastic value, but 5,000 Ultimate Reward points can be worth, at the minimum, $62. For many of us, we can find common value closer to $75 – $85 for Ultimate Reward points when transferred to partners like Southwest, Hyatt, United, and Singapore. So, only transfer if you cannot obtain points through one of these other methods.

A great way to get a bundle of IHG points is through the ihg credit card which you can read about here. Another way is through purchasing ihg points which you can read about here. Finally, though they may no be useful to you during this round, check out your offer from the “Into the Nights” promotion – read about it here.

The List

So far, the list is only available in the following format (broken down by city, state, and country). If you click on the link, it will take you to the hotel. I am not sure if they are going to upload the list in the regular format, but I think this is actually a far better way to post it. Not only do you get to tell at a glance what the destinations are that are available but it also prevents people from grabbing properties simply because the name contains the Intercontinental brand. 🙂 Still, there are some good destinations. This week, I will have a post to show the best options for marathoners in the coming months.
