IHG (Intercontinental Hotel Group) points are very valuable for one main thing – the famous IHG PointBreaks hotels. These are hotels that are chosen every two months and bookable for a two month period at only 5,000 points per night! That is an incredible deal, especially considering that any of those hotels would typically cost at least $75 per night (and some of them in the hundreds for a single night!).

So, when there is an opportunity to purchase these points at only .6 cents each, it is worth checking it out. Buying IHG points at this amount would mean that you are paying only $30 for one of those PointBreaks hotel nights! Paying $30 a night is a great deal for a hotel and you can do it for any of the hotels that come out on those lists! Since IHG points do not expire, you can buy now and have them to use for any of the future hotels if the current list is not of interest to you.

The American Express Daily Getaway “deals” have been running for several weeks now and is in the final week. There were not many getaways that I would have classified as great deals, but if you purchase the IHG points for PointBreaks hotel reservations, that would be a very good deal. Normally, the Daily Getaway deals would go fast, but since there were thousands of IHG packages available, they are still available! They not only ran the IHG promos once but they ran it another week as well! As a result, there are many packages still available for less than .6 cents a piece.

The cheapest package available is for $100 ($90 if purchased with an American Express card) to purchase 15,000 IHG points (good for three nights at PointBreak hotels). The best deal is for the larger packages – 100,000 points for $630 ($567 with an American Express card). That is good enough for 20 PointBreak hotel nights, working out to $28.35 per night. To purchase these packages, head on over to this link here.

Of course, if you would like to get a bundle of IHG points and not pay for them, you can get the current IHG 80K credit card offer – here.
