Icelandair Pilot Gives Passengers A Volcanic View

It is always nice to see cool landmarks and geographic highlights while flying. Sometimes, pilots will even point these things out while flying near them. What I have never experienced, but these lucky passengers got to, was a pilot that gave a loop-around to actually give the passengers a once-in-a-lifetime view of volcanic activity.

None of the passengers complained about the slight diversion and the airline also made mention of the pilot for taking the time to give passengers such a view. They informed everyone that it was a planned diversion and there were no problems with the flight. I just wish I had been able to catch that view – it sure looked like something else!

  • That’s cool! Can’t beat window seats, especially when you’ve got a great pilot.
