Expired!

I just received an e-mail about an increase on the Delta Amex Gold card. It is bumped up from the 30,000 mile regular offer to 50,000 miles after spending $1,000 in 3 months and a $50 statement credit after your first purchase with Delta.

American Express Delta Gold Card Offer – 50,000 Miles and $50 Statement credit

This is a great deal for those who want to kick into gear with collecting Skymiles. Granted, Delta is doing their best to really complicate the whole Skymiles program, but for those who get value out of the miles (booking with partners, for instance), this is a great way to get the miles.

Not only that, but it is available as a business card as well! The business version has the same exact offer.

A Good Deal?

Again, Delta Skymiles is not the program it used to be. However, the best way to accrue Delta Skymiles starting in 2015 is going to be through credit cards. They are hacking the earning for any travelers on cheaper tickets, so the best way for miles will be with offers like this. For anyone who values miles, this is a great deal. You can use a variety of Delta partners to get extra juice out of these miles, so I would get this card (either one or both) and that is a great 100,000 miles. 100,000 miles for no fee the first year and only $2,000 in spending? Yes, Please! However, if you have had this card before, remember, that you cannot get the offer if you have. However, that does not apply to the business card. You can only not have held the business card in the past 12 months to be eligible for this bonus.
