The Great 2nd Night Free Visa Offer Gone

2nd night free

What was definitely one of the best hotel deals around has now been pulled. The great 2nd night free offer from Visa was too good to last.

Well, this didn’t last long! It was written about a lot this week and of course, it got a lot of attention and bookings. As a result, the great 2nd night free Visa offer for Waldorf, Conrad, and some Curio properties has been pulled.

The Great 2nd Night Free Visa Offer Gone

In case you missed it, here is the post writing about this insane book 2 nights get the last night free deal. It not only offered that, but you also get beverage/food credit, room upgrades, late checkout, and a $75 Visa gift card! Not bad at all, especially with the promo good for a lot of months.

Here is what they say on their landing page:

Due to the unexpected popularity of the Hilton free night offer, hotel inventory subject to this offer booked up much sooner than anticipated and is no longer available. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please note that the $75 USD gift card promotion is still available at Participating Hilton Hotels, see the offer page for more information.

As I wrote in the initial post, I checked the terms as it sounded too good to be true. The terms were actually worded in a way that sounded like they were cut and pasted from different promos. It sounded (but did not read) like they meant to say “Book 2 nights, get another night free” – but they didn’t. 🙂

My guess is that they let it fly for a bit to see if they would get enough multiple night rooms but pulled it when they saw that a ton of people were booking only 2 nights. At least we know that Visa knew what they were offering, even if they didn’t intend for it to be so generous.

Very happy for all of you that got in on it! I was going to pull the trigger as I already had one night booked for one of the hotels but I did not need the second night so I was just trying to figure out how to make that work. 🙂
