American Airlines Hawaii
Written by Charlie

American Airlines has a limited time offer available for you to fly to Hawaii for 30,000 miles. These are lower than the typical off-peak awards. Instead of 17,500 miles each way, these limited time dates are for 15,000 miles.

A nice part about this deal is that the dates include the date of the Honolulu Marathon on December 8th! Here are the details about this offer:

  • Must book between August 28 – September 13, 2013
  • Must travel between September 11 – December 17, 2013
  • Is valid from any US city to cities served in Hawaii
  • Based on availability

Another great part about this deal is that if you hold a Citi AAdvantage credit card that is connected to the account the miles come from, you will receive a 10% rebate on your miles. So, in effect, you will receive a 3,000 mile rebate per ticket (up to 10,000 miles in a year).

Getting AA Miles Quickly

Chances are you may be interested but may not have enough miles. The easy, fast way to get those miles is to apply for the Citi AAdvantage card that offers 50,000 miles after spending $3,000. If you were to apply for the card this weekend and received it by middle of next week, you could do the $3,000 in spending on one day and you should receive the miles within the following 4-5 days. This should give you just enough time. Below is the link for the card – it is a fantastic offer!
