The first World of Hyatt promo has just been launched and will let you start earning double the points on your bookings. Check out the details here.

Today, Hyatt announced their first World of Hyatt promo. It is called “Double Points for Being You” and gives you just that on your upcoming eligible stays – double points. Here are the details and how to register.

The new World of Hyatt program launched earlier this month and they have already launched their first promo. It will give members double the points after their first stay of the eligibility period. If you have stays that will be coming up during the promo period, it might be worth giving Hyatt a look. While this promo is not as great as the incremental offer from them the last couple of years (earning up to 75,000 points in tiered bonuses), this could still maybe push you Hyatt’s way on some stays if you value the points.

World of Hyatt Promo Details

World of Hyatt members are invited to participate in the promotion by completing the following:

  • From now through June 30, 2017, register at worldofhyatt.com/doublepoints
  • Make a reservation on Hyatt.com and complete your second eligible stay during the promotion period, April 1 through June 30,2017, to begin earning double points
  • Provide your World of Hyatt membership number at the time of reservation and check-in

Here are some of the terms of this promo:

  • You will receive double points for each whole U.S. dollar or U.S. dollar equivalent spent on an Eligible Rate or Eligible Incidental Charges beginning on your second Eligible Stay.
  • All points awarded under this offer are Bonus Points.
  • For the purpose of this offer, an “Eligible Stay” is defined as any stay where a member is paying an Eligible Rate for at least one night of their stay.
  • Only the room occupied by the Member will count toward this promotion.
  • You must provide your World of Hyatt membership number at the time of check-in and choose points for each stay.
  • World of Hyatt will automatically track Eligible Stays when you provide your World of Hyatt membership number at check in.
  • Please allow two to three weeks after your qualifying stay for Bonus Points to be posted to your World of Hyatt account.

World of Hyatt members receive 5 points per dollar now so this will take it up to 10 points with additional points being awarded based on your elite status – Discoverist members receive 10% bonus on base points, Explorist members receive 20%, and Globalists receive 30%.

Takeaway

While this is not a game-changing promo, it is nice to see a new promo roll out so soon after the new World of Hyatt launched. I am sure there will be a lot of metric tracking that will go into the system over the coming months to see how members deal with the new program and promo. Hopefully, we will see a return of tiered night bonuses again for the fall promo!

  • Darn. I only have two stays until end of June and only one night is revenue. The rest are points. And the revenue night is not on the second stay. Lol

      • oh sure! The last 3 of 4 hyatt hotels I stayed at all had the gift card reader broken at checkout. They were all apologetic but tripled the amount of time required to check out.

Plus the gift cards without pins tend to get hacked often. I still have six of those.
