There is a limited-time sale going on that will let you earn triple Avios at many wonderful retailers! This is a great way to get some cheap one-way flights!

While many people do not consider Avios that valuable for long-haul, premium redemptions, they certainly have their place when it comes to short-haul! While the shortest of flights on partners like American and Alaska in the US now start at 7,500 Avios, there are plenty of other places around the world where awards start at just 4,500 Avios. That is pretty great and it means there is always room to collect more Avios!

Until May 31, you can do that when shop through the Avios portal. They are paying out triple the Avios at many retailers and that means you can rake in up to 24 Avios per dollar! With many of these retailers being places that many of us shop at anyways, this is a terrific time to pick up some of those things you were thinking about and collect a bundle of Avios in the process.

Here is the list of those retailers:

  • Adorama – 6 Avios per $1
  • American Eagle Outfitters – 6 Avios per $1
  • Apple – 6 Avios per $1
  • Ashford – 18 Avios per $1
  • Bed Bath & Beyond – 12 Avios per $1
  • Blue Nile – 15 Avios per $1
  • eBags – 24 Avios per $1
  • eBay – 3 Avios per $1
  • Home Depot – 9 Avios per $1
  • Macy’s – 9 Avios per $1
  • MatchesFashion.com – 21 Avios per $1
  • Neiman Marcus – 18 Avios per $1
  • Overstock – 21 Avios per $1
  • Pottery Barn – 18 Avios per $1
  • Sam’s Club – 12 Avios per $1
  • Sears – 12 Avios per $1
  • Sunglass Hut – 24 Avios per $1
  • Target – 6 Avios per $1
  • Walmart – 12 Avios per $1
  • west elm – 18 Avios per $1

The Best Deals

There are a few retailers that jump out at me for sure. Among those are Adorama (a great Amex Offer going on now and gift cards have counted for cash back with TopCashBack), Apple (6 points per dollar is not the best but certainly better than anything right now), eBags (because 24 Avios per dollar is pretty great!), eBay (3 points is the best deal right now), Overstock, Sam’s Club, Sunglass Hut (a great Amex Offer is available for here as well), and Walmart.

Yes, it is true, I find most of these retailers to be some great deals! If you are ready for some shopping, definitely start it through the Avios portal to really maximize your earnings. To give an example – if you wanted a flight in the US on American or Alaska that was under 1,151 miles in length, you would need 7,500 Avios. If you were to buy a piece(s) of luggage from eBags for $312, you have your free one way flight that could cost well over $500 if you were to buy it!

Or, say you are interested in picking up the latest and greatest mini drone that was just announced! If you were to purchase it at Adorama (using the Amex Offer and gift cards), you would earn 3,000 Avios and get 10% off! That 3,000 Avios amount puts you just a bit below half of a one-way award trip in the US!

So, have fun!
