Earn 1,000 Hyatt Bonus Points For Booking With the App

Travel providers have really made strides over the past couple of years to make their smartphone apps more than just a catalog of your stays and points. They are working to make them be more functional and to give you the chance to do everything in your hand that you would normally do at a computer. As a way to encourage more use of the apps, companies have been offering bonuses for doing reservations/bookings through the app (IHG’s “Into the Nights” and National’s promo to name a couple).

Hyatt’s Mobile Booking Bonus

Hyatt Hyatt is stepping it up to attract more people to use their app (which is actually a pretty good app). To do so, they are offering 1,000 Hyatt points for every reservation made (on an eligible rate) and stay completed through December 31. To earn the 1,000 point bonus, the reservation must be made through the app and the 1,000 points will credit within 2-3 weeks after the stay. This is a pretty great promo! The only problem, maybe just for me, is that Points+Cash (which is an “eligible” rate) reservations cannot be booked through the Hyatt app. Most of my stays are of a Points+Cash nature given the hotels I normally stay at. If it was possible to book that rate through the app, I would definitely jump on that. However, My Elite Rates (which all Platinum and Diamond members have access to) are eligible for this bonus and that can give some pretty substantial savings at hotels. It can also be used in conjunction with the targeted bonuses that came out earlier. It is a great chance to book those hotel stays for the rest of the year through the app. This could be especially useful if you are going to do a Hyatt Diamond Challenge. Remember, like the Hyatt Diamond Challenge, stays at MGM properties are ineligible. Value – I would consider these 1,000 bonus points to be worth around $18-$20 in redemption value. Here are the terms: To earn 1,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points under this offer, you must book a new stay on an Eligible Rate through the Hyatt App or theHyatt Mobile Site. Both reservation and stay must be made and completed from October 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014 at anyHyatt hotel, excluding M life resorts. Eligible Rate is defined in the Hyatt Gold Passport terms and conditions. All hotel reservations are subject to availability and must be made in advance.

Hyatt Gold Passport membership at time of stay is required and members must provide their membership number and be a registered guest of the room. Membership is free and enrollment is available at goldpassport.com or at a participating hotel. Only one 1,000 point bonus may be earned per member, per stay, regardless of how many rooms are booked. This offer is subject to the complete terms and conditions of Hyatt Gold Passport. Please allow 2-3 weeks after stay is completed for points to be credited to account.
