I admit it – I have been known to wait in line outside stores in early hours of Black Friday. It had all started years ago when I got up 1 hour before Staples opened to go get a Palm Pilot V handheld (we are talking old!). I thought it would be plenty of time. I got to the store and found about 100 people in line. I started asking people what they were in line for and about 20 of them were there for the Palm Pilot. Oh well!

The next year, I went out with my uncle earlier and got most of the things on my list. For many years after that, I would take my brothers and we would have some good times waiting for the stores to open (mostly Best Buy). I had always been able to get a fair amount of stuff that was used as gifts or eBay items and did pretty well. That is in the past, though – I have not gone out in a few years now.

Black Friday

BUT, if you are one of the early shoppers that loves the whole Black Friday scene, here is a deal you cannot pass up! Office Max will have a sale where they will be giving $20 off a $200 Mastercard or Visa card. Obviously, you will use your Chase Ink card to get 5X points on this and still get 10% off the cost. The only catch is it is one per customer. Easy way to handle that – bring some friends/family down with you and all get in line. In my experience, you can even keep passing the credit card back (or get additional cards for that day). Not a bad deal! If Office Max is not already on your list for Black Friday shopping, put it on there if you want to actually make some money on this day of spending money!

Office Max will be opening at 8PM on Thanksgiving night (yuck!)

Note: I do not receive a commission for the link to the Chase Ink cards
