Big Around The World Trip Coming Up!
In case you had not noticed (or known), we are just 4 weeks out from what is sure to be an epic trip (and I hate using the work epic so you know it must be something else!)! In 28 days, I will set out to run 6 marathons on 6 continents in under 5 days! Of course, all of the travel will be done using miles and I will be doing it all in premium cabins (including my favorite – Etihad’s A380 First Apartment for 14 hours to Sydney!) and about $200 in taxes and fees.
The charity for this major run is Wounded Warrior Project, a great way to honor US vets and give a little something back to them. Please check out my Wounded Warrior Project page here. If you want to join along in any part of the final run, we are going to have some people running along a marathon route in Washington DC as the final marathon. It should be a blast! E-mail me or leave a comment below.
The Amex Offers just keep rolling in! A lot of them are back to school type things but you can still get a lot of value from a variety of the available retailers.
This is a quick and simple way to get 500 Hyatt points for every one of your next bookings.
Credit reports are valuable things. It is what enables us to play the game of miles and points. Of course, things like that can have some glitches and here is one that affected this woman in a big way – her credit report claims she is dead.
The SPG card is due for a fee upgrade shortly. With a hotel credit card having almost a $100 fee and no free night annually, is this card worth it? I can easily justify it!
There are a lot of hotels and a lot of cards. Which hotel credit card is the best for mid-range hotels in the US? This post breaks it all down.
The GoPro cameras have again hit great, low prices. If you missed them this time, make sure you follow along for the next round of cheap prices!
What do you think would make a nice wedding present for your sports agent? This football (soccer) player thought a private Greek island would do the just thing!
I have a hot trip coming up next week and you can interact with me live during the whole thing! Not only that, but you can help kick me into higher gear while doing it.
The Chase Ink Bold stopped being issued last year but it has not changed at all over all of that time. Until now. It has a couple changes being made to the card that will take it from being a charge card to more of a credit card.
Often we wait for the best deal in travel. But, there are times that you can wait too long. Here is what happens when that happens.
If you are in the market for a deal on eBay, you have a few more hours left to apply this coupon for at 15% off a $100 purchase.
If you eat, you can get 5,000 IHG points just be signing up! That is a free night at a Pointbreak hotel!
The Athens Marathon is the cornerstone of marathon history and has made it through year after year. However, the current Greek crisis is taking its toll on the marathon and the race will be run this year without elite marathoners.
If you have a bunch of SPG points and want more AA miles, you now have more time to get a nice bonus.
Travel providers can do a lot wrong but when they go above and beyond to do something nice, it is worth taking note. Find out about this wonderful gift that Turkish Airlines gave to a family in Ohio.
Remember the technical error-filled “Into the Nights” promo by IHG? It appears those tech errors are still working – but in our favor. Certain hotel award nights are counting as paid stays for earning points!
Here is a little travel news roundup. It includes a new hotel, a new time zone, and a new credit card returning.
