Alaska Airlines is offering a 10% discount on air travel for several dates and cities around the US to match 13 different races. See if the dates fit your travel and get a race discount!

It is always great to see travel companies taking a more active role with races. Alaska Airlines has stepped up in a great way by offering a 10% air discount for many marathon cities and and a race discount for the marathon they are a title sponsor for.

I first saw this last week on Will Run for Miles and thought this was a brilliant move by Alaska Airlines. They have a history of offering discounts on airfare before, especially for things like your birthday (I just received my 5% discount for my birthday). Doing this really encourages more people to fly Alaska if they service their airports.

Check each link for the city to see what the travel period is for the event. Once there, you can click to go right through to Alaska Airlines to book the flight with the discount already applied.

The nice thing is that the discount does not just apply to Alaska Airlines flights. There were some mixed flights that came up as the cheapest and the included segments on American Airlines. That opens up the options available to you.

Race Discount

Alaska Airlines

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Seattle Marathon has Alaska Airlines as their title sponsor and they are passing some of that encouragement on to runners by giving a $15 discount on either the marathon or half marathon events.

The discount is valid through June 1. To get the $15 discount, you will need to add promo code Alaska as part of the registration process. You can apply here. Currently, the race fee is $110 for the marathon and $99 for the half. The $15 discount is certainly helpful to bring that price down on both races.
