Airport Bathroom for Dogs, Airline Pilot’s Most Memorable Flight, An Incredible Running Record, & More

A roundup of news and posts with an airport bathroom for dogs, an airline pilot’s most memorable flight, credit card skimmers abound, and more.

Here is a roundup of posts that I found to be of interest today.

  • Airport Bathroom for Dogs – In a new move for New York, JFK has installed a dog-friendly bathroom. It is a pet relief area that actually has a fire hydrant to help your dog feel more comfortable relieving itself! Such areas are already in many airports across the country and regulations mandate that they be installed in terminals that see more than 10,000 daily passengers.
  • Airline Pilot’s Most Memorable Flight – I love reading stories like this! I do not want to spoil it for you by giving a small recap here, so make sure read this one! For a 27-year veteran pilot to say it was his most memorable flight makes it one to read about!
  • 100 Year Old Woman Sets 100 Meter Record – Even as a runner, I cannot imagine getting to be still moving at any great speed if I did make it to 100! But, such thoughts did not stop Ida Keeling, age 100, from participating in a 100 meter race. She broke the record for 100+ year olds when she took the 100 meter distance in one minute and 17 seconds. Well done!
  • Credit Card Skimmers at Gas Stations – Several more gas stations this week found that they had skimmers in place on their card readers. This link is just about one of these locations. PSA – always remember to check your credit card statements closely! A friend told me this week that they got hit with a $3,000 charge by Qatar Airways – fraudulent charge. These things happen (happened to me when “I” bought almost $7,000 in Qatar Airways tickets) and it is good to stay on top of it.
